Definitely seemed like a foul to me, and elated that we turned it around so well, but it was feeling all too familiar when that goal went in.

Anyone know how many times we've seen that Ozil goal? Alexis cross from the left, Ozil headed to score? Perhaps only the third time, but it feels like I've seen it so many times now.

Painfully obvious. Not sure he touched the ball at all. If he did,it was barely. Couldn't believe the no call.

The goal they allowed at the end was shocking. Bet Wenger was FURIOUS. Glad Alexis got it back...

Didn't even realize there was a match today. Completely unacceptable lol.

Good to see they survived, I guess--given the comp. lol.

How long before Wenger starts Elneny at CB in the PL? SMH.

I always put Arsenal on my other monitor at work when they play during the week.

Elneny is a disaster back there... and not really his fault, honestly can't figure out what is going on in that old man's head.

Eddie Nkiteah came on when we had a corner late in the second half, maybe the 80th or 82nd minute. His first touch was to put it in the back of the net. Then, in the first 15 of ET he heads a corner in to make it 2-1. We should have had a couple more... but seriously, if Norwich didn't stink (and Macey actually made a couple of really good saves, made a mistake or two, too) they should have won the game in FT 2 or 3-1. Lucky. I'll take it though - Ain't about bein' proud when you're an Arsenal fan, it's about the W.

btw, Debuchy played - "not too bad" - for the competition that he was facing (ie, glad Jerome didn't play the whole game).

don't usually pose questions or thoughts in here much. . .

But am I strange for thinking, now that Lacazette is here, I'm ok with Alexis leaving but feel like we really need Ozil? I know what Alexis does during a game and have watched every goal he has scored since joining Arsenal, but feel that if Xhaka can be fixed (or replaced) and get someone with similar quality it would be ok in Alexis wasn't out there.

When Ozil is healthy, and engaged in the game, he is quietly our most important player on the pitch.

              Thoughts??

4-3-3 with Ozil playing a similar position to KDB, Alexis and a RW that is actually good on either side of Lacazette.

Seems a bit of a no-brainer but you would need to buy two entirely new midfielders for the other two positions in that midfield 3, and then 2 more as backups because none of your center mids are CL-level.

And I guess you’d need to buy that RW too.

You would also need to surround Ozil with 1 quality defensive mid and a less attacking box-to-box middle than Ramsey. Ozil isn’t even on KDB’s level defensively.

Considering the fact that he's French, it's actually completely insane that Arsenal have never been in for N'Zonzi at any point. Even worse when you consider how cheap they'd have been able to get him for, at multiple points.

Just saw the game is on NBC Gold tomorrow.

                      Major bummer. MAJOR.

Yup, Ozil is extremely important and improves us a lot whenever he's playing. Glad to see some other people see this too as he's usually the scapegoat whenever things go bad. However, Ozil and Ramsey doesn't work well defensively against decent opposition because then Xhaka ends up isolated because Ramsey makes run past Lacazette and hardly ever gets back in time.

If Alexis goes and Ozil stays, we indeed need an LW and RW. We also need a CM. I'd love Goretzka here. Dendoncker would also be a really good deal because he's both good going forward as well as defending. He can play as a CB if needed, has good passing ability and covers a lot of ground. But needless to say, we'll prob miss on another excellent prospect.

Xhaka is being scapegoated right now and maybe deservedly so, but when he's on form he's great. Last season once he stopped being reckless he was actually good. Still think he can make it here, he's just having a really bad season right now.

A "new" formation and no Lacazette.

                            A recipe for success surely...?

Looks like Coquelin is starting the game at the center of a back three. That is brave!

3-1 isn't indicative of how the match went IMO.

They were clearly the better side, but I thought Arsenal played well, all things considered.

I might question the starting 11...
