Milan had some quality in their side and came in on a pretty good run of form and you guys shut them down. I would be pretty happy with that display.

      that win felt.... good?

Obviously I have a few complaints, and Troy Deeney can suck it, but uh yeah, that was... that was nice.

2 in a row!! Didn’t catch the match but a 3-0 win is always good.

Cech finally got his clean sheet as well.

Been moving all weekend so only got to read about the match after it happened. Honestly, the Deeny missed penalty made the happiest. Where are those Cajones now you midtable hack?

It did feel good. Not naive to the bigger picture by any means, but yes--it was nice to win. Two in a row. Wahoo.

It did, however, have that typical Arsenal feel of "man, we should be up 3-0 at the break", only to come out early in the 2nd half and think--good grief, they've switched off (again) and likely will concede an equalizer. The 7 to 14 combo was brilliant today, and Miki's assist on the 2nd goal was excellent. Of course they WOULD give up a penalty what, less than 5 minutes later (thought Ainsley was pretty poor today--good effort, but not great defending). Cech SAVING A PENALTY from Deeney of all people = the cherry on top.

I thought everyone looked really good today. Maitland-Niles and Holding the two weakest links, but all in all I was very pleased with the effort today. Ozil, before the knock he took was outstanding. Looked to switch off a bit afterwards. Surprised they didn't pull him out.

Now, just hope they don't "play not to lose" on Thursday...

The chances of this happening are very slim, but my personal choice for an Arsene Wenger successor would be Allegri.

Watching this Juve series on Netflix (check it out if you haven’t seen it), his approach to the game is what Arsenal needs right now.

I'm torn on Jack Wilshere, while I'm ecstatic he's finally stayed healthy, I'm not actually torn up about him possibly signing somewhere else on a free. It might be a good thing for him to restart his career and wash the Arsenal off of him. I won't be disappointed if he does sign a new deal, mind, but I think it's best for him to move on.

Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan seem to be linking up better. Henrik needs to slow down a bit. He’s pressing to hard, trying to force everything.

Why does Xhaka give the ball up so much?

This basically sums up Xhaka at Arsenal

Why does Xhaka give up the ball so easily
                    Why does Xhaka wander defensively
Why does Xhaka dive in on bad tackles
Why does Xhaka ankle hunt random opponents
Why does Xhaka think every shot within 30m is worth taking
Why does Xhaka get forward so often, then end up finding space that's already occupied.

The answer lies within Wenger, and has been one of our (the people here) main complaints. There's barely any structure to the way that we play. I think Xhaka would look much better with a manager who told him to occupy the space between the defenders and the midfield and to let Ramsey/whomever get forward and join the attack while he sits back, but that's not really what Wenger does, Wenger gives everyone freedom pretty much. It's also the reason we get caught out sometimes because we don't have an organizational pattern when we need to fall back.

tl;dr - Xhaka needs structure in the system for him to thrive, Wenger doesn't provide structure.

I really hope he either signs the damn deal he's been offered or we give him a slightly better one to sign.

It has been mentioned by current players and discussed widely by former players that Arsene does not give much tactical instruction or directions and instead prefers the players go out and express themselves and just play the game like it should be played, etc.

After Xhaka's first year it was reported he had told people close to him about how frustrated he was with the lack of tactical instruction he was being given, and I think it truly shows. He wants to be told what to do, but that isn't Arsene's style.

I think this is actually what's hurting many of our young players at the moment. They need to be told what to do, they need their mistakes pointed out, and they need to be training on correcting those mistakes. However, it's not going to happen as long as Arsene is the manager. He's reportedly even stopped Bould from doing extra defensive work with young players such as Holding and Chambers, as he doesn't want anyone doing extra training.

I'm sure that's part of it, but a player that cost that much shouldn't need to be told things like "hey, don't let guys make runs right past you into the box" or "don't commit such utterly stupid fouls". He's got some Emre Can in him. Flashes of something with a big old rock on top of his neck.

I agree, but without proper coaching, consistent reinforcement, and also being punished (benched) for his errors he's never going to learn. I think he can learn—he's just not going to under Arsene.

Also, it's no secret that being a defender at Arsenal is not an easy job due to how you're never offered any protection. I'd say to an extent that goes to Xhaka, as he's someone who is asked to often play in a more defensive role in the midfield.

He still makes tons of errors, and has a lot to learn, but I think he at least shows potential—the problem is that unless something changes it'll be wasted potential much like several other players we currently have (Iwobi).

This will be a telling performance for Arsenal, if we're able to keep another clean sheet and if we actually start looking improved, I might start having some confidence in this team.
