Emery is responsible for that goal, as he sees it fit to start Xhaka.

    I don't care if Ceballos didn't play well against Liverpool—he should've started.

    I don't care that Willock is young—he should've started.

Xhaka has no place in our best eleven—none.

Mustafi was not in the squad today—yet no news on him leaving, even on a loan.

      Ugh.

I wish we could’ve brought Iwobi on instead of Mhki today. He always did well coming on and offering something. Oh well.

After a week to think about it, I'm actually fine with how Emery approached the Liverpool game. I can go more into detail, but I appreciate that he went there with a plan instead of getting immediately getting caught up in a 6-3 loss.

As for yesterday, Spurs should be pissed. I'm sure they're all telling themselves that "it was a great point", but if we're up away 0-2, to any team in this league, I'm not going to be happy with a point.

I'm pissed we only came away with a point, because we played better and should've scored more. Their goals were direct results of defending errors—we gave them two goals yesterday.

Lastly, if Harry Kane were not English or even British or Irish, he'd be labeled a foreign cheat by the likes of Sean Dyche and the media and would eventually leave the league to avoid his earned reputation.

It's now, hopefully, over, as Mkhitaryan joins Roma on loan.

It’s what’s so infuriating. We drop points and give away goals instead of having points taken from us and goals scored upon us.

Just the xG for yesterday told the entire story, we should’ve won the game easily but gifted them a two goal lead.

Liverpool played very, very well against us, but too often teams play poorly against us and we keep them in the game.

We all know we need help in the center of defense, but at least we now have the front sorted and I have zero concerns about us spending on center backs in the next two windows. We showed that we were trying for a big signing there, it just didn’t happen yet.

Also, Tierney will improve us defensively and is an upgrade in many ways on Kola.

Xhaka leads the league in mistakes leading to goals since he arrived. Not sure why he ever starts now that you have other options.

Xhaka was amongst our best passers, and is sent all over the midfield, he's not nearly as bad as people make him out to be, but it's Arsenal so it's about memes.

He’s not the quality of player that you should be hoping for. Not sure how pointing that out is a “meme”

He’s not terrible, he just makes some of the dumbest plays.

Mostly because there's no substance to it? You've provided a singular stat, then had a laugh, not exactly a conversation piece. You not being sure why he starts is why I pointed out he's one of our better passers, and offers more than meets the eye most of the time, strangely Guendouzi also traditionally plays better next to him than Torreira(or anyone else), so while the new players are integrating into the team and getting their feet about them, it's not actually that surprising why he's starting, I doubt he'll be getting many starts by December, barring injury or sudden drop off from Ceballos/Guendouzi/Torreira. Emery takes time to bed people fully in and make changes, we're not challenging for a title, and barely looking to challenge for top 4 so there's no incentive for us to rush people through.

This describes so many players, even currently playing for Arsenal.

It's the wonderful part of being an Arsenal supporter, where you get to see droves of people fawn over mistakes and 15-20 minutes of poor play, and just completely ignore every other part of the game as though it didn't exist.

I believe you’re more than “barely” challenging for the top 4. 3-6 all have their problems and it’s going to very close.

I think Xhaka has shown you time and again what you’re going to get. He played great in the 2nd half against Spurs, as did most of the team. But he cost you 2 points. And it’s not the first time. I think he is a great option to come off the bench in any situation. Phasing him out like you say makes sense. I’d be ready to move on though. Sort of like I was ready with Can for us. Yeah he’s a good player but you just feel not much would be lost if he goes away.
