Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Numbers noob here with an interesting stat—I was looking forward to checking our PPDA (passes per defensive action) after Freddie took over to see if we were pressing more.
Against Norwich, it was 7.88—which does she we were slightly pressing more than our average previous to the match which was 9.71 So, on average, we were pressing Norwich more quickly than we were under Emery.
Where do you get your nerdy stats? I want in.

But, if I told you, then I wouldnt' be special...
Kidding—I use Understat, and if I ever have lots of money to waste I'll subscribe to something not free, but I doubt that will ever happen.Comment

Losing Tierney only furthers our defensive woes, as Kola is a defensively liability. Sure, he'll hammer in some low crosses...but he'll offer nothing in our final third despite being built like a tank and able to push anyone he wants off the ball if he was at all committed.
But, we always knew this when we signed him as a wing back and tried to shove him into a back four.Comment

Olowu and McGuiness trained with the first team yesterday. Project youth incoming.
Edit: Burton, John-Jules, Olayinka, and Medley were on the plane to Belgium yesterday, as well as Smith-Rowe and Saka.

Arsenal will hold talks with Carlo Ancelotti after the Italian was sacked by Napoli on Tuesday night. Arsenal’s priority is a younger coach, but that a figure like Ancelotti can’t be ruled out given his wealth of experience at the top level -Charles WattsComment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
Even if they talk to him, I don't think it's anywhere close to happening. They're going to go much younger—Arteta still seems the most likely candidate.Comment

Eh, I love Arteta, and the idea behind his management, but I don't think the club were wrong for passing on him when they hired Emery.Support Local Sports
