^You just don't want him anywhere near Troy Deeney.

In terms of PR lumps, I think some of them were also brought upon themselves, in some ways they kind of make themselves an easy target. Like the whole first team paycut to prevent job loss, then the 55 job losses, then to release a kit with the branding of being part of a community was a wild sequence to go through. It's been very plain that the Gunnersaurus thing is seemingly a rib on Arsenal, I do believe that most people understand that he'll be back once the fans are back, but it's meant to be a bit and it's not fun to acknowledge that the bit isn't wholly true.

It's clear that another year in France is what he and the club would've preferred.

I might be reading too much into it, but it's interesting that Watford and Brentford are the clubs listed, as those are both in greater London—so in a way, staying close to Arsenal.

If he goes, I'd vote for Brentford—easily. One, because of how they play, and two it might be a continued effort to create a relationship with Brentford. I still think Arsenal go back in for David Raya next Summer. There were rumblings that the new contract he just signed includes a clause which will make it easier for him to go.
I think it's easy to see that the club rated Saliba highly, and they don't want to trial by fire a 19-year old at the moment, especially with the Guendouzi fallout. I hope that they miraculously read my post from last year where I practically begged to send Guendouzi on loan due to his immaturity, and overall poor performance. I think the instance where an under 21 player is ready for the full Premier League/European Competition experience is rare, and that just a good bit of experience goes a long way for them. I do wish for his sake he had been able to go back to ASSE, but I think going to either Watford or Brentford would be a good bit of business for all parties, presuming he'd have a recall clause in January much like Nketiah should things not be working out.

19 is incredibly young for a CB. He’s got 15 plus years ahead of him. Let him get adapted to a new country without thrown in the deep end.

Brentford/Watford will be in contention for promotion, he’ll get plenty of opportunities for games, and he gets to stay in London.

I’d throw in a recall clause though.

From the outside looking in the whole Gunnersaurous thing is ridiculous. He’s a part-time club employee that probably only appears at home matches & community engagement events.

As much as I hate everything Arsenal, that was a total hit job.

I’m almost certain he was closer to a full-time employee who did a few other things outside the costume, but as I said, it was also thought he was about to retire entirely in the next year or two.

            Still, the coverage was absurd.

My son has scored again and is now the England U21s top goal scorer of all time. Congrats Eddie.

Yes. Yes to it all. I think Partey time happens around half time.

Late change, David Luiz in. Hamstring for Holding.

Disappointing first goal to concede, as Leno does everything he can there. The rest of the defending wasn’t great, but Leno nearly saved them again.

Better since conceding, but still hardly anything going forward.

                        Mahrez has been brilliant.

It’s very easy to get frustrated watching them.

But then I remember where we are vs where we were, in a pretty short period of time.

                            Trying to trust the process...

Since yesterday I kept hearing about how often Arsenal have faced other 'top/big six' sides since Arteta took over, so I wanted to look into it.

According to my count, Arsenal have played the five other 'top/big six' sides 11 times since Arteta took over. This includes the FA Cup and League Cup (not the Community Shield). Since Arteta took over, he's managed 31 mataches in the Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup.

So, 35% of his matches have come against fellow 'top/big six' sides—that does seem like a lot.

Of those 11 matches, Arsenal have won 5, drawn 1, lost 5. If you include the Community Shield, it's won 6, drawn 1, lost 5 in 12 matches.

Out of the 11 matches, 6 of them were against either Liverpool or Man City—3 wins, 3 losses. If you include the Community Shield, 7 matches out of 12—4 wins, 3 losses.

Considering the state of the squad when he took over...that's pretty ****ing good.

Pepe is the left footed Gerinvho. Lacazette needs to be sold.

Partey and Gabriel are absolute class.
