    Meh.

I will say this NZ team is WAY better than the one that got smoked by Mexico in the playoff.

Mexico is not messing around with their team. It has all the big guns.

And the US will be without starting CB Geoff Cameron. Fantastic. Orozco better not find his way into the game.

I love the way this match is going.

And Mexico looks like they are trying to bully Pusilic and he's doing well.

Bradley had a perfect chance to play Wood in and settled for a low shot right at the keeper. Should be 2-1 BUT Mexico had plenty of chances in the 1st half.

Great action in this 2nd half and it's getting really chippy. Would be surprised if this ends 11v11.

I love what Bobby Wood has become.

I completely blame Bradley. That should've been 2-1.

Tim Chandler started that game ahead of Yedlin while Robbie Rogers watched from his TV at home.

Just read that sentence a few times and let it really sink in.

I am still in disbelief. Besler was struggling all game and he was left in a vulnerable position and to leave Marquez unmarked for a wide open header is beyond me. They need to tighten up their defense majorly before their 0-2 going into the next matchday after Costa Rica.

Let's agree not to totally fly off the handle if(when) points are dropped tonight. It'll still be OK, I promise.

Yep. 10 games 0 wins in Costa Rica.

My main criticism of Jurgen at the moment is that the Hex isn't the best time to be experimenting, that's what the first round of qualifiers is for.

I know 3atb is all the rage right now, but that is not a system that would suit our current players and it's a bit late to implement it. Our best attacking players are wingers, which means we'd have to play a 3-4-3 variant to get the best out of them, but your two center mids need to be firing on several cylinders that our center mids don't even have.

Maybe the idea is that our CBs are much better than our fullbacks, which is true but we don't really have depth there at all and that still doesn't really solve the problems of having a bunch of poor and/or underperforming center mids.

If Jurgen was actually trying to change to a system that better suits American players ( strong, fast, hard working, lots of stamina) then I could see the logic behind switching to something like a 3-5-2/5-3-2 and playing as a pure counterattack team (like Wales), but I don't think that's what he's trying to do.

Just time to take care of business going forward.
