She is a dime. Extremely proud of the USMNT, especially Beasley, Besler, Gonzalez, and Cameron. Besler can provide solid long passes from the back as well and him and Gonzalez seemed to have great chemistry. Cameron looked much better at right back, didnt lose possession too much. Still don't know if I'm convinced that Chandler should be at right back when healthy, his loss of possession led to that 1st goal by Honduras.

Notables are back four and I think Zusi did well in tracking back. Not sure what Brad Davis brought to the table. Would have loved to see Shea earlier.

Overall, great point from the Azteca, super lucky - but well deserved.
why was Altidore poor? I thought he did very well to hold up the ball on the few occasions where he got good service. The U.S. were certainly better going forward before he came off the field.

--- did anyone stick around ESPN for awhile after the game it's like these guys are being forced to talk about soccer and stumbling over every other word. and they are verbally resisting on television. completely laughable.

are less and less people watching sportscenter these days? why did they make me stick around for sportscenter to see post game sideline interviews?

I love the stories Dan Patrick tells on his radio show about how much soccer was looked down upon at the Mothership during his time there.

But yeah, it was irritating. "This is an unfriendly"....really....really?!?!?

the bickering and myopic views around social media from both sides is ridiculous and embarrassing. Alot of my Mexican people with their ridiculous excuses and alot of my American people acting like they won a championship. And both sides always go to the race card. My goodness.

lol my mexican friends that support Mexico just won't talk about it. They know they shouldn't of had to rely on penalties to get the win. And when it's only your second tie in Mexico with a depleted squad when we've lost bringing in way better squads, there is much reason to react this way. A lot of it has to do with the lack of respect shown by Mexican fans with the booing of the national anthem and all the incidents with stuff being thrown on the field. While they are a quality team the fans haven't commanded any respect. It's just like how the Mexicans have had this arrogant attitude since winning the Olympics and the U-17s(which in my opinion is overblown since they won it in their home country). I feel like the national team thinks they can just walk in and qualify without putting any effort. The attitude I got from Chepo about the Honduras game was that it really wasn't a big deal, once they got the two goals you could see the overconfidence. Mexico has put themselves at a big disadvantage with the match congestion of the Confederations Cup and Gold Cup coming up.

I agree with the seemingly arrogant attitude of El Tri. They need to realize that the other CONCACAF nations have improved their quality and narrowed the gap. Mexico has the talent but they are totally underachieving and it starts with Chepo. Lead by example and the example he's putting out is not really a good one.

As for the booing, that's just how it is in CONCACAF. There is serious dislike between many of the nations for more than soccer reasons. Yesterday was very mild compared to the Rose Bowl gold cup and when Mexico went into El Salvador last year. That was horrible. It's ugly but that's the norm, and every nation has their bad apples unfortunately.

Yeah and the way the arrogance has spread down to even commentators and fans is lol worthy. Like how I mentioned about the commentators during the Honduras game being cocky and arrogant. I thought getting the no calls were nice enough redemption after the horrible no calls of the U-20 Championship game. The way Mexico is playing they can't expect to even qualify right now. If Jamaica can come in and steal a tie at Estadio Azteca as well as a depleted United States squad, there is no doubt that Honduras, Panama, and Costa Rica can do the same. I honestly think Costa Rica could make a good push to steal a win with the speed of Oviedo and Ruiz on the wings being a threat on the counter attack and Saborio being a deadly finisher.

looks like Donovan wants back in. He sounds pretty motivated. Maybe we'll finally see what he and Dempsey together can do under JK.

I still think our best lineup is yet to be discovered. I think Donovan on the right flank can be a big part of that.

I want to see Josh Gatt be taken under Donovans wing. He certainly has the pace Donovan had when he was younger and the ability to beat defenders, if he can become a playmaker like Donovan who knows what Gatt could do for us.

He took an unpaid sabbatical after MLS Cup last year. Basically, he was burnt out. He hadn't had any time off from playing in years, with USMNT, MLS, and winter loans one after another, so he wanted to recharge and re-discover his love for the game.

are less and less people watching sportscenter these days? wouldn't surprise me. it's basically unwatchable at this point. the talking heads on sportscenter know nothing about soccer. the actual US vs Mexico ESPN broadcast wasn't bad. Lalas, Keller, and Bob Ley are okay, but when they take it back to sportscenter it's a mess. the ESPN reporters that do the post match interviews for sportscenter ask the most mundane cookie cutter questions possible. they interviewed Guzan and it was like pulling teeth.

what do you mean when you say they were verbally resisting on TV? i think i know what you mean, but rarely do people make such keen observations about ESPN and it is nice to know that someone else is alive out there and notices this stuff too.
