Not too mention Vidal but I guess he could be on the way out if Tolisso comes in. As good as Kimmich is idk if they're ready to give the keys to Alonso's old spot unless he's moving to RB to replace Lahm.

5 guys rotating for 3 spots isn't too crazy though.

TBH I just hate all this waiting.

I know that's how we do things now, quietly behind the scenes of media speculation and whatnot, but I still hate waiting around.

So the rumor is that we are potentially waiting until July 1st before we start announcing signings (possibly due to the Nike deal).

I can't tell you guys how much I'm NOT a fan of waiting that long

What the hell is going on?

Hard to tell if this is similar to the beginning of the season where the media basically made up a huge narrative where Conte was absolutely getting sacked after just a few games, or if everything really is going to **** behind the scenes.

Surely we aren't going to do it AGAIN...right?

Edit: DiMarzio was able to confirm that this is real and there are significant tensions between Conte and the board, seemingly worse than was originally thought.

Conte resigned after a title winning season with Juve so there is precedent on both sides here.

For a second there I almost started to think we weren't doing this anymore.

So, what managers are available right now amirite guys? Hahahahaha kill me.

I'm confident it will blow over. Conte should have a lot of leverage though right?

Soccer off season is a circus. In no American sport would a coach/manager be butting heads with the front office after such an incredible debut season.

I'm hopeful that we sign Lukaku. I've had doubts but that's just me being picky. He's an established striker that wants to play here.

              With you on everything there.

Just a little nervous, we've done this too many times before for me to not get at least a tad anxious.

Abramovich is not one to be bullied, title winning season or not. We've seen worse happen.

I'm hoping this ends well but I am somewhat nervous at this point. Tuchel is already the rumored replacement but I don't even want to think about that.

Also if the Nike rumor is true then it makes sense why Lukaku says he has picked his club but can't announce it. However, if true then that kind of sucks signings can't be announced until Nike sponsorship takes place.

Tuchel is not in any way our kind of manager though so I'm choosing not to believe that. We've never entertained the idea of hiring a manager like him before.

Not sure I like the idea of Nike basically dictating when we announce our signings though.

I think what scares people is how oddly frugal we've become in recent years, and with the pretty terrible summer 2015 transfer window still fresh in people's minds, it just makes everyone a bit nervous.

The Manchester clubs are going to go ham in this transfer window, and we are going to end up playing second fiddle to them if we don't properly reinforce our squad.

Conte isn't going anywhere, boys(most likely anyway). Multiple sources backing this.

I won't hit the panic button until early August if we haven't signed anyone by then. I also have a hard time thinking we'd haggle and pull out of the Lukaku &a Sandro deals over 10 mil.

Finally got something from Matt Law, it doesn't sound quite as bad as everything that's being reported.

Still a little nervous because we've done this plenty before, but I thought I'd link this to you guys as it did make me feel a tad better.

So I guess now Conte is close to signing an extension.

Choosing to believe the whole "no smoke without fire" thing, Conte wouldn't sign a new contract without getting some kind of assurances over signings etc.

So if he does end up signing then that also means whatever was going on last week (again, it was probably SOMETHING, knowing our board and Conte), has now been solved and everyone is moving forward.

Also, I know there's a lot of people out there (not necessarily here) that feel a summer of signing Lukaku/Bakayoko/Caballero would be tragic, but honestly I think those are all great signings.

People have been underrating Bakayoko a lot because he was underwhelming in the last few months. Monaco fans however, have all said during the first half of their season he was one of their best players, and that he also has more in his locker than just being a physical B2B midfielder. You guys already know how I feel about Lukaku, and Wily would be a great backup keeper.

Add to that the potential signing of Sandro, and that is honestly a pretty stellar summer.

My only real concern in all this is not signing somebody for the right side. I'm sure I've said this before but having another "baller" that can take pressure off Hazard is going to be crucial, especially in the CL. We've seen in past seasons CL level teams marking Hazard out which leaves us looking clueless. Pedro is fabulous, I hope we keep him at all costs, but his style of play doesn't really take any pressure off Hazard. Pedro has superb movement and is a great finisher, he can definitely carry the ball up the field well but in terms of pure chance creation, it's just not really his game. If we got somebody like James/Mahrez/Martins etc. then it would mean teams couldn't just focus on Hazard.

Only problem is I haven't really seen us linked to any forwards yet that aren't strikers, but it's obviously still early.

I think Lukaku, Willy, and Baka would be a good haul. Add Sandro to that and it's a great haul. Add another attacking inside forward and a RWB and we won the summer. Would LOVE to get an experienced RWB like Perisic. As good as Moses was last year he was simply worn down by the end of the year. As far as another inside forward, when you consider that Eden probably won't be ready for the start of the season and the fact that we sold Traore we're going to be pretty thin there.

I'm curious to see what the market for Matic is. Juve should pounce all over him IMO.
