Yeah I like the classic look.

I also a big of the 3rd kits every year just because they're always a little extreme.

Btw, 58 mil initially for Morata that could add up to 70 with incentives. Not bad at all!

Now if we can send Matic to Juve in some sort of a swap for Sandro and add another quality midfielder for depth we will set ourselves up very nicely for this upcoming season.

Yeah I'd say we are maybe just one or two signings away from a 10/10 transfer window, especially if one of those signings is Sandro.

CM will be purely a depth signing so I'm not expecting anything super spectacular.

I just saw today that since JT's gone, the player that has technically been at the club the longest is now a goalkeeper that's never played for you and been loaned 10 times. That's so....fitting.

Still think there were better options...but I'm fine with Morata. Hope I'm wrong but in my eyes we've taken a risk on a younger striker that, in all honesty, isn't much better than Bats. It's good to have quality and depth but I feel like we could have done better and should have done better. Just don't think he's what we needed right now.

                  Again, hope I'm wrong.

I think he'll be really hungry to prove to Real that they messed up by keeping Benz over him. Add in wanting to be Spain's #1 (remember Diego is most likely gonna miss half the year if/when he goes to Atletico) and I think we'll have a really motivated player.

The spotlight's gonna be in him though so we'll see how he reacts. Everyone's sort of in the spotlight at Madrid but he had all those stars around him. Even at Juve they had the next Messi, Pogba, Buffon, etc... grabbing most of the headlines. Juve fans will you tell he played really well there though despite his low goal return.

He's not going to bring Diego's overall game and ferocity so we shouldn't expect him to be nothing he's not. TBH, he's just a goal scorer. Poacher, fox in the box, he'd have all of those cards/traits on FIFA/PES. He creates shots, to be fair so does Bats even though his technique lets him down sometimes, which will be a little different than Costa who really only took shots at the ideal time for him.

Always a risk in handing a kid the keys to their first car. Hopefully he does total it.

His goal scoring stats are slightly skewed in the sense that he had a really rough time at Juve for a while due to off the pitch stuff, which means he basically didn't fully settle in until his last season at Juve.

He scored like 30 goals in all comps for RM as a sub last season, and he's a proven CL performer. I'm sure he will be fine, and he does add a different dimension to the attack that Diego didn't.

Who knows, maybe Bats will take this new added competition and go beast mode this season.

Paying 58m for at least one of those two to become world class is well worth it.

There is no doubt in my mind that this "City interest" in Danilo is smokescreen by Real to drive the price up some, especially after Morata fetched far less than what he would have earlier in the window.

Think about it from Danilo's perspective.

You go to Real after some really solid years at Porto
You lose out to Carvajal who comes into his own
You want playing time to try to impress and make next year's WC squad
You're rumored to go to Chelsea or Citeh
Citeh splashes 50mil on Kyle Walker with whom you'd have to compete with for minutes. Walker is an EPL veteran/established RB for country

If you had to choose between competing with Walker or Victor Moses who would you choose?

It seems like a no-brainer to choose us over City, but Pep does have a massive amount of pull just on his own. Maybe he is guaranteeing Danilo minutes at more than one position so Danilo doesn't see it as only competing with Walker.

The "Danilo to City done deal" reporting does seem to have died down a bit in the last few days, so maybe we are back in it.

Hell, maybe we are pretending to be interested in Danilo so we can go after someone else. Who even knows anymore in this crazy transfer window.

This has definitely been one of the sillier silly seasons I've seen in a while.

                                Honestly I'm still mad.

Second time he's done this to one of our players. Oscar arguably hasn't been the same since Ospina punched him as well. That was a while ago and it still makes me furious Ospina was never punished.

Perhaps this one on Pedro wasn't blatantly intentional like the Oscar incident, but who goes flying out like that in a friendly?
