Basically just a pay raise, I think it is still probably a good sign but I guess we will have to wait and see.

Also, looks like Milan are getting Belotti, which means we are down to either Morata or Bats. Still really don't think Bats as our #1 is any more of a risk than Morata for 80-90m

Additionally, the most interesting piece of transfer news I've read from actual reliable sources on the particular subject (Matt Law and DiMarzio), is that Sandro still hasn't signed a new contract and Juve have never actually told Chelsea that he ISN'T for sale.

Makes me wonder if that is indeed still a possibility.

Just means he's getting paid more money for the next 2 years and he probably has a higher compensation fee if he leaves.

I think he is a bigger risk... at same time Morata can easily flop. Either way we have a question mark at CF this season as of now whether it's Batman or Morata.

I have trouble understanding how Morata is worth more than Aubameyang. I get the age difference, but Auba has been an elite forward the last couple years. That includes Germany and Champions league. Morata did well a couple years ago with Juve and hasn't really done a whole lot since. Sure he's behind Benzema and on RM but I just can't wrap my head around the asking price. He hasn't done a whole lot with Spain either if I remember correctly. Just my opinion.

Think you are right on everything but Spain, I think he's been good for his NT but I could be wrong there.

Anyway, I wouldn't be like pissed or anything if we got him, the talent is quite clearly there and his scoring record is decent for RM considering the minutes he gets.

I just think Bats fits our system and already loves it here, with a good run as first choice I'm pretty confident he'd reward us.

Morata's scoring rate was actually higher than Benz's last year but it might be a little misleading if you look into the situations. Still, I'd rather have PEA even if he is 28 but after his brace the other day he's "unavailable"....aka the price went up.

Looks like we are getting bazinga'd by City for Danilo which is disappointing, but maybe we have other plans for our wingback spots.

In other news, looks like Morata is about to happen.

I'm very OK with them signing Danilo for the sake of:

                  1) It means Dave can play RWB allowing us to either play AC or try Rudi/Cahill at that RCB

                  2) Citeh just spent 50mil on Kyle Walker and now another 20-25ish on Danilo

70mil on the RB spot smh

                    Yeah.

I think a lot of Chelsea fans aren't considering the possibility of Dave playing RWB, simply because he's a different kind of player to Moses.

You don't need to be an ultra fast dribbler to be a wingback, look how many trophies Lichsteiner has played a crucial role in. Dave is an exceptional defender, but he's also a very good passer (better than Moses) and has excellent reading of the game. He's adapted to 3 different positions so far at Chelsea and each time has come out on top, there's really no reason to think he can't do the same at RWB given enough time.

Not too mention crazy stamina which IMO Moses lacks. You could see the minutes wearing down on him as the season progressed. That foot injury didn't help either.

We've agreed terms with Madrid for Morata. The deal is subject to personal terms and a medical.

I've been pretty vocal about Michy over Morata/Belotti, but it is what it is.

Anyone in a Chelsea shirt has my support.

Not yet, going to rock my black kit from last year and then pick up the blue Nike one soon.

                                I like the new kits.

Seems to be getting a lot of negative feedback because it's a little boring but Nike was never going to go wild with their first kit.

I think it looks nice, maybe in part because Adidas was starting to get a little weird on us towards the end there.
