Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
What's the Pedro situation? Could RLC play out wide? Might not have the pace but thought I remembered seeing him out wide for Palace.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I imagine Pedro will be kept because we are light on wingers as it is.
RLC is definitely not a wide player, he will be a rotation CM or loaned out for sure.
As for winger targets, the only ones we've been linked with have been Bailey and Martial. There aren't that many available right now. There's also players like Malcom, Pulisic, Lozano etc. but nobody really proven so no matter what we'd be taking a bit of a risk.
I guess there is a chance Barca really screws up with Dembele, and maybe we capitalize on that.
I would say, if we buy any wingers this summer, it will probably be one of Martial/Bailey.Comment

I think Malcom moved already to Inter but I could be wrong.
I loved Callejon at Real as an impact sub but he’s getting up there in years too, already 31.
I don’t think there’s much interest in Pedro. I’d imagine a side like Villarreal, Sevilla, etc... would consider kicking the tires on him and still give him footy at a decent level but yeah, he should have buried on the bench last year for HOI/Musonda/anyone.
Edit: you’re right Brahv, he’s still there in Bordeaux.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Another manager has left the madhouse of CFC. But there's nothing new in it, that's the way your club works. I have seen Hazard in action in his young days in 2012-13-14, the day he came to the club, he chose you because you had won CL and what enjoyment of a player. I would be sleepless if I were CFC fans because Madrid always get what they want. What has always wondered is why do you have an academy?. You sell your fry after renting them in 3-4-5-6 seasons. If your skilled owner, because he is good about money, got a vision called stability and development over time. Then I'm at no doubt you could make many big players because you're scouting really well. but it's not going to be because it's now and her that counts, create results or be sacked, it's not just CFC's to be fair. How many players had you on loan last year 38!?. The bridge is a nice place in the South West of London, but it's too much plastic and real fan culture it's only for the most part away, and at magic CL matches, never forget Napoli game 2012, have never seen so many Italian cry.
Good luck with the season and not least Sarri, for me a very strange choice on all fronts!. but if he succeeds, everything is good and otherwise you'll just continue the infinite circle.Last edited by andanesean; 07-13-2018, 06:20 AM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
And you wonder why everyone hates you CFC?. Yes Costa termination was embarrassing, but come on ?. It is low even for CFCs. It has become personal for Abramovich, which he has always been able to avoid ice cold and would have paid without blinking. It is also the club's very big weakness - lack of communication and lack of influence. Any coach with something reminded of the desire for control deselects your club. But the biggest amazement is that management chooses to sue him to make a rift in the squad ?! There was no one who created more discord than Mourinho!. Imagine they won at a trial, who will ever be able to coach in a club and not be nervous about how his releation is with the player or becomes ?.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I wouldn’t be comfortable in a world where everyone loves my club, just wouldn’t feel right.
In regards to Real Madrid, I think there’s more of a chance we sell them Courtois than Hazard.
I’m still pretty confident we will keep Hazard, but we will see what happens.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
What would Courtois go for? Doesn't seem like he's ever wanted to be here. And honestly, he's been very inconsistent. He showed his quality in the world cup though. I wouldn't be too upset if we lost him and got a keeper like Alisson.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

I was really impressed with Thibo in this WC. He was quick off his line and read the game well. Those have been two of my biggest complaints of him besides the obvious, he’s not great with his feet. To me, he’s still a top 3 shot stopper which has to be the most important trait of a top keeper.
He likes Chelsea but his family is back in Madrid. I’m a father of 2 girls and spending ~9 months out of the year away from them would kill me and make we wanna switch jobs too.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Yeah, I don't think Courtois has ever not liked Chelsea at any point. If his kids lived in London I don't think he'd want to leave at all. Every interview I've ever seen from him where he talks about potentially leaving, he is always talking about his kids.
I don't really think Alisson is an upgrade on Courtois in any way other than his ability to play with his feet, but if Courtois is set on leaving then Alisson is probably the best keeper we can replace him with, unless we want to spend silly money on Oblak which seems very unlikely.Comment

Matt Law finally put out an article on Sarri being confirmed, so I guess it's done.
Possibly waiting to make the official announcement to finish up Jorginho so they can announce both at once? Also maybe they don't want to announce Sarri in the same afternoon they announced firing Conte.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
People hated Chelsea the second Roman bought the club and started spending money despite us trending upwards with Ranieri. People hated Chelsea when Mou dubbed himself "The Special One" and we won back-to-back titles. People hated Chelsea when we pulled off the miracle in Allianz. People hated Chelsea when Diego was maurading his way through defenders en route to the 14/15 title.
Common theme here..... "People hate Chelsea"
The Sky is also blue.
