What a disappointing game. To be almost in the new year already and be eliminated from the CL and not have two trophies is just a total failure.

Torres is done. Can't put all the blame on him but he just didn't care out there. We need a midfielder and striker as mentioned. Don't think we'll get Falcao. Madrid are 2nd in the league and playing well. I think the only way they sell him will be around €70m.

Cavani is a good player but often times he plays better from the wide positions then up front which is not what we need. We need that strong CF. The Russian better bring in someone or soon enough we'll be qualifying for the Europa League next season and not the CL.

Did any of you guys watch the game against Leeds last night? Juan Mata is such a world class player. It's a shame I don't get to see more players like him with Leeds being in the Championship.

Thought for the first half we were a little bit fortunate to go in at 1-0 up. I think if we'd have conceded before the break and not just right after it we would have handled it a lot better. Obviously we didn't and as soon as Ivanovic got that header our heads just went down.

Saw the highlights on Chelsea TV. Thought we looked solid overall, and got the goals we needed in the 2nd half. I think we saw the good/bad of David Luiz, because his giving away of the ball led to the quick counter attack that got Leeds the goal.

Hazard looked like he made an impact while I was reading that Marin was ineffective. Hoping that he can get some more games in though because he's been rarely used this season

So it looks like Sparta Prague. Should be a fun one

Aston Villa Sunday; they looked great against Liverpool last week so can't leave anything to chance. Need to come out strong from the beginning and do a good job of marking Benteke and Weimann.

I thought Hazard had a decent game, steadied the ship a bit. Marin didn't really seem to in the game at all and we haven't got the best full backs in the world. Was surprised we went 4-4-2, it's rarely played these days and the 5 midfielders after about 25-30 minutes just took over the game and controlled it.

That willl be me popping out the thread anyway. At least we weren't totally embarrassed by you guys!

13 goals in two games... bravo. Looked absolutely fantastic yesterday and it easily could have been 10, 11 or more goals.

The last 2 matches are the kind of results you get when you're attackers finish.

I caught a replay of the Leeds match on BeIn HD last night. It was a pretty entertaining match albeit it was played in a monsoon which really had a huge effect. It took about 20 mins for both clubs to settle into the conditions. I really liked the Lampard-Oscar partnership in the middle although Luiz was pretty good there vs Villa. That FK was just beautiful and he can play some beautiful PES style thru balls (assist to Hazard vs Leeds). Speaking of Eden, I was happy to see him score vs Villa, especially off that tight angle. If he's finishing we're going to be lethal in attack.

Norwich and Grantt Holt always scare me. He's so physical and has a tireless work-rate. He's a handful for even the most physical of CBs.

I thought Luiz did a good job, seems like he is way more comfortable/confident when he's closer to the opponents goal.

Everton on Sunday a much bigger test though.

Fellaini is still out though right? That's a huge advantage for us if they don't have him.

Everton still tough, but the way we're playing right now we can beat anyone. I still think we need some shoring up in January though

Just read that Falcao says he isn't going anywhere, kind of disappointing.

I'm honestly still sort of hoping Oscar makes good on his promise to talk Neymar into coming over.

In the meantime though I think Shurrle is probably our best fit

I never saw Falcao as a possibility for January given that Atletico are doing well in La Liga. I also read that Neymar already has an agreement in place to join Barcelona although I have yet to hear that confirmed.

Schurrie would be solid as well. I think how we proceed in January has a lot to do with how Torres fares. If he can score against good teams the way he has scored against the lesser lights, I'd wait a little longer. If he stays the same old Torres, then Roman has to get someone more consistent in front of goal.

I still think we will make a move for Fellaini or at least I hope so. At 25, his skill set is what we need.
