Read that Marko Marin is healthy and will be playing tonight which I am pretty excited about. Also, Lucas Piazon will be getting another run with Mata and Mikel out.

Excited about Marin. We'll see how Piazon does.

Do any of you guys have Chelsea TV? FSC doesn't show most of the cup games and would like to watch.

I do, it's pretty decent for the money, especially if you want to watch some of the youth and reserve games. Tonights game will also be on BeIn Sports

That was a very exciting match yestetday. Even though he blew some chances Sturridge seemed to be much more difficult to deal with at the point of attack. He might miss chances but at least he takes them. Our lineup had so much pace and creativity towards the end. Just amazing to see how much we've changed since last year. We break from defense to attack with so much ferocity know.

Also, very weird yet cool to hear Ray Hudson and Phil Schoen call our game.

I saw the highlights on Chelsea TV and I'm happy after having the sour taste of Sunday wiped out. My issue with Sturridge is that after he scored, he started thinking he could score from anywhere and got back to his selfish ways. He needs realize he's not playing with the old Jose era guys and instead, world class players who can put the ball past a keeper on any given day. Daniel - look up before you shoot and see who has a better shot.

Going to Montana this weekend, but will be PVRing the Wigan game. No more controversy please.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***

I was the first one to say that we need to patient regarding Torres but I've had enough. We have too much attacking talent around him for him not to be getting on the score sheet more often. His work-rate can't be questioned but running the channels and closing down on holding mids doesn;t make up for not scoring. He's lost a step, his first-touch is suspect, and his instincts are a step behind.

We revamped our whole offensive approach, dropped our best ST ever in Drogba, and gotten significantly younger but we're still lacking the talisman up top that can change a match in a heartbeat all by himself. All of the top clubs have that (Man Untd-RVP, Citeh-Mario,Aguero, Tevez, Barca-Leo, Real-CR7, Dort-Levandowski, Bayern-Gomez, etc...). There are so many attacks that go to waste because of him and at this point he's keeping us from reaching our full attacking potential. Just think how much more dangerous we would be with someone who instills fear up-top.

My ideal fits (some possible buys, others not)((not in any order)):

Suarez - say what you want about him and his antics but him up top in our formation with actual talent behind and on his flanks would be LETHAL. He's every bit the worker that Fernando is with much better creativity, pace over a few yards, vision, touch, and creativity to boot.

Falcao - Lethal in the channels, absolutely clinical with both feet, and positionally sound. He doesn't have the explosive first step of Suarez and he's not as good in 1-on-1's but he's a better finisher and someone who would get goals left and right off set-ups from Mata, Oscar, and Hazard.

Cavani - Pace (long-strider), size, flare, work-rate, and the aerial ability to be an instant success in the EPL. Sooner or later Napoli will have to cash-in on him. He's proven that he can play centrally and out on the wing which makes him even more valuable.

Higuain - Probably expendable at Real even though he's more consistent than Benzema. He's not great at anything but he's really good at a lot of things and he's a pure finisher. Downside is that he appears to be injury prone, especially as of late.

Stevan Jovetic - Seems to be back from a bad knee injury and for a young kid is good with both feet. Good size but lacks the pace to run at defenders. Don't know if he's ready to be the man on a top club since he has only really had 2-3 good years.

We'll have Lukaku back which will be a good thing considering he has looked pretty solid at West Brom but I have a lot of the same concerns that I would have if we were to bring in Jovetic.

Good news also regarding JT. He escaped that challenge with any significant ligament injuries and will only be out a few weeks.

West Brom, Juve, and Citeh all up. We can't afford to look past West Brom but at least Lukaku won't play

I was the same with Torres and every time he scores I get excited hoping he'll be back to his old ways and was glad he was finally getting a chance. Now every time he touches the ball in the attack I just wait for him to lose it, it's like he doesn't care and has no heart for the club. I would love to see Falcao on the team but wouldn't mind seeing Lewandowski as well.

I was expecting the worst with Terry's knee, the way it looked and how loud he screamed killed me. Plus, it was extremely weird to see him go down and not get up like usual.

Torres belongs in Segunda División... can't stand watching him out there anymore. Once again we had so many good situations to score and only took advantage of one of them.

Also as soon as the change of Sturridge to CF and Torres to the bench was made then it was a entirely different game. The movement from Sturridge was a lot better compared to Torres. Then again anything is better compared to non-existent.

Big game tomorrow. Torres might be left out and hopefully he is. Brings nothing. Sturridge, Piazón, anyone...

                        Couldn't agree more Alt!

Torres is done. In 30 mins Sturridge got off as many shots as Torres had in the last 4 combined. If i see him in the first team sheet I will irate. He brings nothing to this club and look at everything that had been done for him:

Got rid of Drogba, Anelka, and Kalou so he could be the first team choice
Went away from a more direct style to suit his runs
                        Added Mata
Not enough? Here's Eden, Oscar, Moses, and Marin
Stayed with him throughout all the fluffs and gaffs

Try to think of a club in the EPL with a worse leadman?

                        Maybe QPR & Sunderland

I'd take Shane Long, Grantt Holt, Lambert, and many more over him in a heartbeat.

Despite all of this we only need the draw today. A win and it's but assured with the last group match vs Nordsleand.

For the first time since the Pre-Russian years I have absolutely zero confidence in todays game. As a backer of Torres since day 1, I am now with everyone else in saying that he is complete crap and I want him gone. There's no desire in his play and it seems he doesn't care. Sturridge while better doesn't have me beaming with confidence, something needs to happen in the January window to get someone who can score consistently. Relying on Mata and our CBs to score our goals isn't going cut it.

So, there are reports that the club has already contacted Rafa to see his thoughts on accepting a short term contract if RDM is let go in the coming days.

                              How absolutely shocking.

Would you fellas rather see him go now, or give him more time to work with the side?

Our issue is that we have someone who doesn't care (Torres) and another guy who thinks he's great when he's just average (Sturridge) as our striking options. Our central midfield is also weak. Mikel's game is too limited now

Torres needs to go and we need someone who can finish and play with passion. Falcao, Jovetic, and Cavani come to mind. We should also sign Fellaini as he would be immense with Ramires and the 3 Amigos.
