Yeah the blue & yellow we had in 18-19 was [emoji91].

I still like these but I haven’t gotten a home jersey in years so I’ll probably get that one.

Nice to finally win this one. Not the best of performances but that’s to be expected with a lot of late arriving regulars.

Sucks for Ziyech. He was really having a great preseason and then he injures his shoulder which will have him out for a little bit.

          Palace on Saturday!

Obviously a great result vs Palace who looked a bit lost, understandable considering the massive turnover they had from last year to this year. Going into it I was worried about where the goals would come from, especially considering Kai played 120 mins, Ziyech, who was playing very well in the preseason was hurt, etc... Luckily old faithful Alonso opened the flood gates and we coasted to 3 points. The race for the title is going to be so tight this year that we need to maximize all of our chances and catch a few breaks here & there.

Thrilled with Chaloboah. Been really impressed with him and Sterling so far. I'd let Sterling go on loan but I'd rather keep Trevor around and spend the 70 mil we were going to spend on Kounde on another midfielder. Kante should be back for Arsenal but we're already down to 3 guys with Kante & Kova a little injury prone. Sure Mase and Reece can play there but we really need a long term replacement for Kante. I love Billy G but he's more Jorginho, dictating the pace with his play than Kante running around and making tackles/interceptions.

I think all of us, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, and United are very very close to each other right now. City needs Kane, Liverpool needs another striker, and United need a 6. I like our chances right now but with another body in the middle we'd do ourselves a big favor.

Oh and the schedule is just brutal

Away to Arsenal who we never fully kick when they're down now
            Away to Liverpool
            Home to Aston Villa
            Away to Spurs
            Home to City

The league calms down a bit in October but then the UCL group stages start.

I think if we don't go for Rice we will get someone like him at some point, and then Gilmour will fit a bit better

So sad to see Zouma go. I get that he doesn't fit the system but he was such a popular guy in the dressing room. Always happy and a huge presence on set pieces.

Before the injury, he was on pace to be an incredible center-back

Look at all the pre-2016 tackles.

I knew we bought Saul for depth but he’s damn near our 6th choice right now behind RLC who has looked like he did pre-injury and Boss Barkley [emoji23]. What a ball to Azpi for the hockey assist on the Werner goal. Credit to TT, he played guys that deserved to play and they all were good today. CHO, RLC, Chalobah, and even Werner were good today. Still can’t believe they called that Werner header off because of the non-foul 2 minutes earlier.

We needed that before the break.

Agreed. Way too much time elapsed. If it took that long to look at it, how can it be deemed to be a clear and obvious error?

Even in his current state, I think I’d take Hazard back lmao.

But I guess maybe closing his chapter at Chelsea with Madrid wildly overpaying for him is the right way to leave it.

Yeah I would too. Let him replace Ziyech

Apart from the Norwich game and the obvious gap in quality, this was probably our best performance of the year. Everyone apart from Mase was good, even Ziyech who should have had two assists in ~15 minutes. Could have easily been 6 or 7-0. Chillwell hit the post in the first 3 mins, Pulisic missed a tap-in late, etc...

Juve at home up next. Kai is out with hammy but Timo is fit and maybe Lukaku plays although I can't see Tuchel risk starting Rom. We didn't play well in Turin at all after the Man City defeat but we still had 3 big chances late to equalize and both Kai and Rom missed chances you'd expect them to bury. We should be beating them tomorrow.

News doesn't look good on Ben Chilwell. Early reports say done for the season. ACL.
