I think we just need some rotation and forced competition in our defense.

Drop Bane for Dave and bring in Luis, drop Cahill for Zouma

We just need a bit of a change. Also, as poor as Cahill has been, Ivanovic has been at least partly responsible for nearly every goal we've conceded this season.

I agree. Cahill has been atrocious. I'd like to see José go after another quality CB in this window. Terry is getting up there, and Cahill doesn't seem like he can hang with the starting XI. I don't have much faith in him regaining his form from last year.

José should look at Miranda from Atleti. He'd be a great fit for us and rumor has it that City want him. I'm sure that we could get him given our relationship with Madrid.

I really like Zouma, but I don't think he's starting material just yet. He could start against lower table teams, but I wouldn't want him starting against City or United.

Part of Cahill's problem has been Ivanovic though. He gets caught out alone constantly because Bane thinks he's a striker and spends half the game in the opposition's box. I'd at least like to see how Cahill does when he has Dave covering his side of the field.

          Ugh.

It's just one game but we'll be OK. We didn't do a good job at protecting Cahill and JT today. Matic and Ivanovic were poor which led to an unprotected Cahill and when he starts backing off he gets us in trouble. Credit to Spurs though, they took it to us and didn't fold like they normally do.

We still have a favorable schedule in the 2nd half with a few big away trips to Arsenal and Pool but wr get City, United, Soto, and others at home.

We looked a bit sluggish in the back 4 and squad rotation would be nice but it's hard to change a winning formula.

I know its probably nothing, but Lionel Messi just started following Chelsea, Felipe Luis, and Courtois (Thibaut followed back) on IG.

EDIT: His wife just started following them as well.

I have a feeling he's doing this to gain leverage at Barca. Sack Enrique and get a raise.

Just read this as well as the Rayan Souici rumor. Fun to read about but I don't believe anything until it's done.

He's just trying to help get Luis Enrique sacked. Looks like he will probably be successful as well.

You guys drew the winner of Millwall - Bradford in the next round of the FA Cup. Hope it's Millwall.

Highlights from that Watford 3rd round FA Cup game since there was no stream:

A couple of good goals from Remy & Willian. Finally a Willian shot with some power and nice placement too.

Wolfsburg just offered us €30M for Schürrle, reported by Di Marzio.

I'd do it, honestly. That's the best we're going to get for him.

I really don't want to get rid of him. He's just on a bad run of form. He LOVES being part of our club though, he really seems to have gone "all in" for our club. I just hope we give him a chance to get his form back, he's a lethal player when he's on it.

Yeah it's a tough call. He's a good player who's just on a bad run of form. He never complains and seems to be dedicated to the club BUT 30 mil is a lot of cash. The problem is who can we bring in that isn't Cup-Tied. Reus would be nice but I doubt Dortmund lets him leave until the end of the year plus he seems to be injury prone of late. The only name to me that makes sense is Cuardrado from La Viola. He's a good player but isn't tested like Andre is.

I would keep Schurrle until the end of the season at least. Then if he does go we can get someone who isn't cup tied.

He's a very good player but I don't think even Chelsea can turn that offer down.
