I really like having Remy because he offers something (pure speed) the other two don't, while still maintaining a high level of finishing.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Remy has scored as many goals than the entire Liverpool's strike force have all season, in 160 minutes.
I remember when he had a medical at Liverpool, I was in the Liverpool thread saying that they both (Remy and Sturridge) could score 35-40 goals over the coarse of the season. Let's just say that people didn't agree with me.
He's extremely underrated. He's just as good or if not better than Drogba (speaking as of now) by far, IMO.
Another fun fact just for the banter; Glen Johnson has scored more goals than Mario Balotelli. We really dodged a bullet there.

Loftus-Cheek called up to the Sr. squad today and is set to make his debut with the 1st team tomorrow. I'm excited to see him play. He was pretty damn solid in the US Preseason tour a couple of years ago. Hopefully this a sign of things to come from the Academy. Also, Bamfordinho can't stop scoring at M'borough.Comment

Even if they never play for our first team, Bamford and Solanke are going to be very good strikers.Comment

I cannot wait to see RLC play with the squad. I hope he can make a good impression like Solanke did when he played with the senior team.

Salah could probably use a loan in January but it's vital to get Andre back into form. We're going to need him down the stretch as a super sub/ fill-in for Willian.Comment

I'd like to see an Ake-RLC double pivot tomorrow with Zuma - Christensen at CB. Salah & Andre on the wings with Remy leading the line. I'd imagine Mikel makes his way into the lineup to give the youngsters some experience around them.

One thing I don't get is how all those players are resting yet Costa is going to start. He's having a fitness problem himself and would benefit the most from a little time off.
I thought this game would have been a golden opportunity for Remy to prove his ground. I'm not saying he hasn't yet already, I just think he's better than most think.

I agree about Remy, I wanted him to start against Spurs (though it worked out just fine with him coming on for Drogba).
Are you certain Costa is playing against Sporting? That makes NO sense.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Costa isn't having a fitness problem anymore, Jose said he is back in full fitness.
He's actually having a slight form problem atm, which is probably why he's starting.
Jose isn't Wenger, he doesn't play his players if they are close to injury. It's why we've had the best injury record in the league since he came backComment

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing RLC play.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
His 1st touch of the ball was god awful but he settled in and played some good passed, even leading a counter attack which Ramires flubbed. He had a chance to score but was offsides. Once he settled he looked like he belonged out there. It helped that he was flanked by Matic and Mikel, who also scored btw.
Physically he's ready to play now, just needs minutes and time to grow the mental side of things.
I forgot that Ake was out hurt.Comment
