Also where as at least Conte brought us 2 trophies, Sarri has none to show for his time in Napoli.

I have no idea who I would want. Just a little worried about Sarri based on what I read and have seen.

Rumors are heating up as Ancelotti seems to be in Naples.

Perhaps I'm over thinking and over reading things regarding Sari. I do agree KG on the player development, but I also read he didn't play any player of 24 this season.
To be fair, as far as rotation goes, their depth is pretty tragic. Ghoulam got injured and his replacement, Mario Rui, was literally personally at fault for them losing quite a few games. Milik was injured for most of his time at Napoli, Ounas turned out to be terrible. Their backup defenders are guys like Tonelli, 35 year old Maggio and Chiriches. The only rotation options he has that are even remotely close to the quality of his starters, are 3 center mids, two of which play basically the same position (Zielinksi and Rog). Napoli's youth are also pretty bad, he wouldn't have had any good enough to actually play.

As for sticking to his formations, the biggest difference is that a 4-3-3 is far more expansive, and flexible than 3ATB. 3ATB is very niche, and once teams figure out how to play against it, you run into a lot of trouble very quickly. I think most people didn't necessarily hate Conte's system as much as him playing wildly out of form players week in and week out.

Also, I think probably you can chalk his lack of trophies up to being in the same league as Juventus. He got 91 points which is good enough to win the Prem 9 times out of 10, and finished 2nd because Juve are basically robots.

Personally, for what the club is trying to do and the direction they seem to want to go, I think our best options are Jardim or BR. However, I definitely wouldn't mind giving Sarriball a shot.

Pedulla, who is tier 1 for anything Italian, reporting we are officially in talks and have another long meeting set up for tomorrow.

Looking more and more like Sarri, but there are still lots of whispers about Jokanovic and BR.

Easily the lamest part of all this is just the uncertainty, and I could see us not finding anything out until Monday.

        Gonna be a long weekend.

Still very quiet on all fronts here, just a few journalists reporting basically the same info we already know.

Sounds like maybe we are playing a game of chicken with ADL on Sarri's release clause, but that's a dumb game to play because ADL has all the cards and he's also slightly unhinged.

My understanding is that we wouldn’t have to pay the release clause after the 31st which is about a ~4mil difference from the 4 we offered and the 8 in the clause. I’d wait it out and take my chances personally.

Besides, I’m more pissed that Pool has Keita and Fabinho coming in. If they get Fekir and a keeper I’ll lose my s****.

Problem with that is, after the release clause expires we are at the mercy of ADL.

Sarri's wages aren't very high, and he still has 2 years in his contract. It would definitely not be out of character for ADL to ask for MORE than the release clause once it expires, and then just sit on his wages for another year.

Imo we need to just pay the clause, if ADL was willing to accept less than the 8m he would have done so already, since they have Carlo.

Ohhhhh. For some reason I thought he was out of contract. Yeah ADL would def screw us. Part of me would love to see him have to pay 2 managers.

                          Yeah exactly.

Like I said, ADL holds too many cards for us to be messing around.

If Sarri is indeed our guy, we need to just pay the clause.

I'm hoping/praying that Blanc's agent made that rumor up to drum up some interest in him.

                                Laurent Blanc...

Ok I'm done laughing now and a little terrified. But I feel this story has no traction.

Like Brav said we're playing chicken with the release clause hoping we can get a cheaper offer in after. However, I feel that price will go much higher once the clause is gone.
