Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
I'm hoping to get to a couple in Chicago. Where's the Midwest OS soccer contingent meeting up for beers before the matches?
Next summer is going to be insane. Not only do we get the Euros but we also get Copa America in the US with 16 squads. I've seen quite a few friendlies in the US and getting to see the top players play either a half or at 50-75% is cool but seeing them go all out next year is going to be a treat. Not a bad consolation for getting screwed out of the World Cup.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 11-20-2015, 11:25 PM.Comment

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
That team seriously seems like someone edited an FM database to create a super team. Neymar/Suarez up top is good enough to win La Liga in itself - watching them work together is something we should enjoy while it lasts. Oh, then Messi is sitting behind them. You can go ahead and admit they were better when Jose was there, plenty of players are.Comment

Re: The Beautiful Game Thread
As good as Neymar & Suarez were at finishing their chances Busquets and Rakitic still never get the credit they deserve for pretty much controlling the midfield every match offensively and defensively.
As soon as I saw James, Kroos, and Modric in midfield I knew they would get run. Kroos and James are just too weak defensively and don't have the legs to pressure constantly. Cassemeiro should have started to help give Ramos & Varane some cover. Poor Danillo, he got run ragged because he was basically defending his entire flank by himself and still expected to get forward.
I still can't believe they went out and got Rafa. There will be a player mutiny against him soon.Comment

Kinda feel bad for him. It's a no win situation. They were never going to win La Liga over Barcelona. That team is too damn good.Comment
