My point isn't that it's bad that an American is dominating the American league. It's that a player who isn't good enough to make his national squad is dominating the American league.

Again, why is that a bad thing?

I just think it speaks to the overall level of talent in the league. It's still entertaining, but it's missing that "big time" feel.

So it's bad that an American is scoring more goals than the "big name" foreign players? I'd say that's pretty good...

As far as the "big time" feeling, it's only just over 15 years old. That's nothing compared to the almost 100 years of history other countries leagues have. MLS is still very young in comparison.

I know you'll enjoy this. One of my friends got voted to the board of the supporters group for the Minnesota NASL team. It just rebranded as Minnesota United FC, lol. But anyway, his main reason for getting on the board is to get a presence for the team in Duluth, which is about a 2 hour drive. Here come the Zenith City Supporters (or the Northlanders, we haven't decided)! Should be a good way to pool resources to get to a few matches.

It's tough for me to get into the MLS living in an area where all we have are a couple indoor teams. (Las Vegas)

About how many games a week for the MLS end up as national broadcasts and when are they? I want to get into it but I always seem to be flipping through channels when the games are ending.
                NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
                NCAAF: Ohio State
                NFL: Minnesota Vikings
                MLB: Chicago Cubs

It varies, but there's always at least one per week. On the 16th, NBC networks carried 10 hours of games.

awesome goal in the 92nd minute by the future USMNT star, Villarreal to preserve our unbeaten streak vs TFC. Time for the big one on Wednesday vs Monterrey in champions league.

F this. We haven't had a PK in 2 years. Colorado had a dude that TRIPS OVER HIS OWN FEET and they get a PK.

If I'm Merritt Paulson I'm going Mark Cuban x1000 after this game.

We wouldn't be TFC if we didn't give up a late goal. That was a fantastic goal, though.

Guessing you'll have to wait another 2 years for a PK right?

Well, Chivas USA has proved everyone wrong. Glad to see them doing good though being a supporter of the parent club.

Yeah. They seem to be playing loose and just having fun out there. We'll see where they end up at the end of the season.

A bit off topic, but it's Clasico day. Always interesting.

Very believable April Fools joke by Herculez Gomez by tweeting himself in a Chiva shirt saying "I'm coming home!"
