For those that might care, 3rd round of U.S. Open Cup starts tonight, which means NASL and USL teams start playing MLS teams.

looking forward to our match tomorrow. Hopefully we get our revenge from last year. The game will actually be televised in the LA area. Good news for us.Comment

Plus, some of those NASL and USL teams show games online through Ustream or something similar.

NASL teams are required to show league matches for free online. Not sure about US Open Cup. Most of them link to the stream directly on their website, so check there if your team is playing one and it isn't on TV.Comment

Maybe if Brucie took it seriously and actually, you know, traveled to the game to coach... If the guy at the top doesn't take it seriously, you can't necessarily blame the team.Comment

It's true. Some MLS teams treat a U.S. Open Cup game like it's a Friendly. I think they actually wanna get bounced early, so they can back to league play. Ditto for CONCACAF Champions Tourney, sadly.

Of course. Bruce hates this tournament. When the draw came out, it was obvious from his comments that we would probably tank this thing. Unfortunately we'll probably take the stupid international champions cup more seriously this summer thanks to our front office.
Anyways, on to your boys this weekend. Hope to get at least a point since we're missing a few key guys.Comment

I realize L.A. had some guys on international duty, but yeah, that was a thumping.

hot rumors of LA offering Gio Dos Santos a big deal. Though I think there's no chance of it happening now, it would be a huge signing for our club, city, marketing and MLS as well.Comment
