I'm glad they didn't show much of Poch. The beginning when he was getting sacked was a little awkward but his personality would have made the series pretty boring IMO. Mou and his blunt honesty was pretty funny, especially the Danny Rose interaction and the time when he told Aurier in the pre-match meeting that he was basically a walking penalty waiting to happen lol.

They couldn't have picked a better club to follow last year given the drama and then COVID. I think I've seen them all, Dortmund/Brazil NT/City/Sunderland and I thought this one was the best. Brazil's Copa run was pretty good but the Portuguese to English translation was pretty bad.

The only person that I think who came away worse off was Levy. He seems like such a passive-aggressive coward lol.

I agree with the Levy comment, I also think Rose came off worse at least to Spurs fans. A lot of fans wanted him gone after his "google new players" comment but people seemed to forgive him for that. Then the way he acted with Jose just seemed to end it. He could have approached that conversation in a much more professional way and had a more production conversation instead of starting out right away with "whats the problem!"

Sounds like we will be keeping Bale next season if Bale agrees. About 250k a week totally close to 12m a year. Cheaper than buying a replacement though I have my doubts he can stay healthy a full season of actually playing.

Romano reporting that City are "preparing" a bid of 150m.

I just hope this nonsense ends soon either way.

Saw reports that Romero is hurt. Any truth to it?

Yeah he got hurt in the Copa America final, he's been training, but probably won't play this weekend.

Unless Nuno is the PL version of Bill Belichick, then who knows?!

Yes he's reportedly recovered but Nuno said they won't rush it. Gil won't play either and I can't see Kane playing unless it's a few minutes off the bench.

I know Levy will drag this Kane saga out to the final day but I would take £120+add ons+Silva. Sign Martinez and use the money for another CB and backup ST.

That’s the best we can do right now and it sounds like City would actually take that deal.

Not a chance that Silva would accept that move. I'd be shocked if any City player was willingly swapped.

Based on some Athletic reports Silva would be open to it actually. It would be a pay increase and guaranteed playing time. Spurs seem to be the ones not interested.

Incredible win. Before the game I was just hoping to see effort and aggression. Players showed that today.

Fans chanting “are you watching Harry Kane” was perfect.

No Tanguy or Serge for the Conference League qualifier.

I know Serge is on his way, but I'm still holding out hope for Tanguy to realize some of his potential.

At this point if we can find a buyer, I would be happy to move him. Serge, Sissoko and Ndombele should all go. Use the money on a player who wants to put the effort in.

You've both got to want to lose the qualifier, right? Unless Nuno strictly players fringe players or youth in that competition (which I assume he would not due to his insistence on a small squad) there's not really any positives that can come from it.

Has there been any indication what his approach will be? Maybe way too early to tell.

As long as it's kids/reserves, I'm fine with staying in it, but I don't think he would.

Taking the hit of losing to Pacos Ferreira in order to get top 4 is more than worth it to me. Make a run in the FA and/or League Cups and that'll hold me over.

I still don't have super-high expectations for this season, so a top 6 finish with a cup semi works.

I want to win the whole thing. Based on some of his comments it sounds like young players and fringe players will be playing or players regaining fitness.

I see the competition as a positive for a team like Spurs. Let guys like Sessegnon, Devine, Scarlett, Rodon, Gollini play so they have 6-9 extra games of experience under them.
