Hazard just didn't get the ball right to Remy twice. Just needed it a yard or two more in front and then they were goal chances. Willian really should have hit the target with his effort.

Sanchez looked really lively when he came on. Definitely a huge boost for Arsenal and with Wilshere, Coq, Santi and Welbeck all back soon, they are certainly still in with a shout.

Worst season in 20 years, 6/6 points against Arsenal.

I guess when you're only seven points clear of the relegation zone, you'll be happy with whatever small victories you can get.

As for Arsenal...at least we're still seven points clear of 5th! Woo!

Not to mention just 2 points from the coveted 4th Place Trophy.

              In all seriousness though:

Happy with the result. The team played well and Fabregas and Diego both look better and better each passing game.

              Hazard looked good.

Will be interesting to see how Arsenal respond to this. I think they could bounce back, largely thanks to Clattenburg honestly. If he calls that penalty, it's now 2-0 and 10 men, and that is entirely different than being down only 1 goal at home with a ref who's being incredibly lenient (for both teams to be fair, but Arsenal definitely had a massive home field advantage).

Also, that ball at the end didn't even come close to being out of bounds. Should have been 2-0 even without the penalty.

Before you guys go on about me pointing out the ref, it's not insignificant. EVERY big team in the prem has that one ref that clearly doesn't like them (you see he's reffing your game, and all your fans just go UGHH). It's a product of success and refs being human. Clattenburg is that ref for Chelsea. We hardly ever win games officiated by him, so beating Arsenal at The Emirates with Clattenburg is pretty big for us.

This game probably won't change much for either team, but it's a start.

IMO there was no need to bomb forward recklessly. Just sit behind the ball, smother Arsenal in tight spaces w/o fear of the aerial threat, and drive back across town with the points.

I admire Arsenal for playing aggressively with 10 men but as it the case with us, we seem to sit on 1 man advantages.

Which we shouldn't because we're not good enough defensively to just defend all half. Needed to take a little more risk and get that 2nd goal.

Still shaking my head that Cesc doesn't get that penalty. Especially since moments later Matic does same thing and gets booked with yellow.

Literally the exact same foul and Matic gets a yellow.

Boggles my mind that Clattenburg is still allowed to ref Chelsea games.

Win by a few goals against Burnley in the FA Cup.

After that...no idea, really. We're certainly still in the title race due to how nobody has been able to pull away by much, but we can't afford to lose more games.

The last time we had a realistic shot at winning the title was the 13/14 season when we were at the top for 11 consecutive match days. Luckily, we still have a very serious chance at winning the title this year, but we really need to string a few wins together.

Just start a petition like Arsenal supporters did against Mike Dean. What's the worst that happens? Everyone collectively laughs at you?!

Louis van Gaal will discuss the way forward at Manchester United with Ed Woodward on Tuesday after returning from the Netherlands
