In fairness, the same is true for the obnoxious people who say they won't drop out of the top 4.

I personally think it would take a failure of a catastrophic nature for them to slip out of the top 4, that said, without rosters in front of me, I don't think I'd call them a top 5 squad in EPL. Easily top half though.

It's not like they don't have a good reason to boo and jeer Aaron Ramsey or something, right?

          Wankers.

It's hard to describe how upset I am that Arsenal are challenging for a title almost exclusively due to signing Petr Cech.

The one thing they've been missing these last 10 years is a top level keeper, and we just gave them a top 5 keeper.

For just £10mill too. He has definitely made the deal worth it for Arsenal. They have their best defensive record at this stage of the season for years because of him.

He's saved Arsenal points a number of times this season.

                  This is the darkest timeline.

Cech is of course a massive piece that Arsenal were missing in their puzzle, but his addition is not the only thing that has seen this team turn into a real title contender.

Bellerin's contributions have been massive since he's become a fixture in the starting eleven, as has Coquelin's.

The Cech signing was huge, but let's not act as it's nearly the only thing that suddenly made this team more of a contender.

Agree but a reliable, good GK is a must if a team wants to challenge the title. Liverpool dropped massive amounts of points all these years because of inconsistent goalkeeping. Leicester and Arsenal on the other hand were saved at least 2-3 times this season because of their good GKs.

He's been huge, but if you only added him to the side, removed Coquelin, and put Debuchy in place of Bellerin we'd suffer on defense (Coq) and attack (Bellerin).

He might be the biggest piece overall, but he alone did not complete the puzzle to make Arsenal an actual title threat.

Don't forget we also benefited from Ozil's maturation, improvement from Campbell and Giroud too.

As for the talk of Leicester falling off, I agree with the sentiment that they'd basically have to go on a massive slump to fall out. They beat Spuds, Chelsea, drew City and United. They've only lost to Arsenal in terms of the top teams right now. Plus, they have done well against the mid table and bottom teams. I just don't see them going away. They may not finish in the top 4 if United can claw back in the title race, but they're here to stay in terms of the battle.

I really think he did though. In fact, your defense is still very Arsenal-y. A gk like Cech makes an absolutely massive difference. Your defense still concedes a lot of shots, but now you have a keeper who can save all of them. Szczesny is a very solid keeper, and will make all the saves he should make, but a keeper like Cech makes the saves he SHOULDN'T make as well. Szczesny doesn't save that crazy Coutinho shot.

Put Szczesny in goal, and you guys lose to Stoke this weekend, lose the shootout vs Pool, lose vs City and probably lose/draw a couple of those close 1 goal wins. Cech has probably saved you a good 8 points this season at least that Szczesny would not have saved you, take away those 8 points and you guys aren't even remotely challenging for the title.

A truly top gk gives you that extra bit of luck you need to make a decent title charge. Not to mention having a top gk who also has the ruthless, winning mentality your team has lacked for years. I don't think there is any way you can overstate Cech's impact.

Ozil has been a phenom, but scoring goals has never been a problem for Arsenal.

In all honesty, 8 points seems rather low for Cech's impact.
