Sounds like Steven Gerrard might be taking the Rangers job if the media is to be believed.

I'd rather he not go to that clown show as his first job, but good luck if he does.Comment

Sounds like Gerrard is taking the Rangers job.'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'-Bill ShanklyComment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
They haven't even told their manager what his situation is yet and they're publicly holding talks with another manager. This is the type of **** that should prompt him to not take this job.Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
Made the most sense for that time, though, right? Who was available for them to get through the rest of the season? I believe it was reported Favre was one of several they wanted either before Bosz, or after, but the timing was not right.Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
It might have, I’m not sure. I just know Dortmund fans didn’t want him at all, even as a short term option.Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
Stoger, from what I can tell, is one of those "wins over process" pragmatic coaches. Tactics are more defensive in nature, and Stoger managed to fix a leaky D. However, watching Stoger's BVB try to generate offense with all the talent they have is painful. This was perfectly fine as a stopgap for Dortmund assuming he got wins, but Favre is a much better selection moving forward.Comment

Re: The Sack Race aka Official Management Carousel Thread
Also, it always seemed fairly obvious that Stoger was meant to get them through the season and nothing else, so it's no surprise they're back to their original target of last Summer.Comment
