Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
Watched Dortmund's match over the weekend. It really is unbelievable how good Pulisic is already and how much he continues to improve.
Also, watching confident Nuri Sahin is so weird considering he couldn't even get a damn game at Madrid or Liverpool. He's so good in that Dortmund shirt. A totally different player.
Also, Benzema went Mario Gomez 2012/13 UCL Final yesterday. He was blowing chances like crazy.Comment

Bale could have had a hat trick of assists yesterdayComment

Yeah man, weird how that goes hush hush but we all know the Bernebeau turns on Bale in a second.
That first Asensio goal though. Man he leaves keepers rooted to the spot.

Finally had a chance to watch Real Madrid vs. Valencia myself. That was one of the most entertaining matches of the weekend in any league. Maybe Atletico and Barca can hang in there for awhile after all.
Asensio's star is rising by the second. Is he honestly even that far from being top 10 in the world at this point? Too soon? Lol

Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
Yeah that 2nd half was crazy.
Top 10 at this point is a little premature but he's rapidly climbing up the chart and on a team full of studs, he's standing out. He's stolen a lot of Isco's shine from the end of last year and Isco pretty much took Bale's spot.

My thoughts exactly. Good grief the kid is unreal. So quick on the ball, and so smart with his runs.Arsenal | New York YankeesComment

Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
Asensio is a pretty great contrast to Mbappe at the moment.
Bought for just 4.5m and cried during his presentation, has a great attitude, keeps his head down and has wrestled his way to the starting 11 of the best team on the planet.
Then you have Mbappe who is going to cost 150m+ after just a single season of senior football, is demanding wages that would make him the third highest paid RM player, on top of his agent (his dad) demanding a massive fee for himself. Fighting teammates and skipping training to force through a transfer.
Asensio is the type of young player you really want to see succeed. Also great for other young kids to see guys like Asensio succeeding at the best club in the world with the right kind of attitude, rather than other young guys like Mbappe and Dembele who really just kind of set a bad example with their behavior, something that you really don't want other youngsters to pick up on.Comment

Re: The All Other Leagues/Competitions Discussion Thread
Yea, they have Championship matches all season. But with the international break they are doing a "special" type weekend and playing League 1 matches.
Bradford City v Bristol Rovers and Doncaster Rovers v Peterborough are the Saturday matches. With Portsmouth v Rotherham United on Sunday.Current careers:

Uefa has announced a formal Financial Fair Play investigation into Paris Saint-Germain, which it says will focus on the French side’s break-even requirement “particularly in light of its recent transfer activity”.

I was hoping they would do this with no Championship matches this week—looking forward to some lower league action.Comment
