    2020-2021 English Football Thread

I can’t believe our strategy of slowing play down as much as possible to bore Everton and then over hitting a long pass out wide in our custom U shape isn’t working.

I’m shocked. Who knew this wouldn’t work again?!

At least Pepe is basically automatic on penalties.

Fantasy wise, I was convinced Willian was taking it. Glad he didn't.

That laying down behind the wall strategy might be one of the dumbest thing I’ve ever come across in the 40+ years I’ve been around the game lol.

Not good at marking corners. Mina with a thumping header. Awful time to concede.

Villarreal is 4th in Spain. Just saying.

I’m glad he’s no longer our manager, but it would appear we were too hard on him...?

Both Merseyside clubs name 2 goalkeepers on the bench to make up the numbers, lol.

I started Willian because I figured I’d try once more before seeing anyone is crazy enough to trade for him.

I figured he’d take it until I remembered that Pepe was out there.

It wasn’t working, he completely gave up on the principles he attempted to follow and eventually was trying anything possible.

The mistake was it ending it after the EL final loss—dragging it into the season made it even worse and was the actual mistake.

How did Ceballos get away with that challenge on Mina lmao.

He should get an extra game suspension just for that dive afterwards.

He keeps getting away without bookings. He should've had a yellow for a dive against Southampton. He's beyond frustrating.

Besides tonight, there can't be many instances this season, if any where Fulham have had 65% possession.

                          Newcastle just sitting back.

The Ritchie own goal will have the Benny Hill music playing on blooper videos after this. Comical.

This morning when I was checking over the schedule again I said to myself "Why the **** would I want to watch Newcastle v Fulham?" Good to know I was spot on.

I think many Arsenal supporters were unfair towards him, and I do believe given time he would have come good. Though based on expectation, it's clear he was not meeting thar criteria, so it's hard to fault the Arsenal board for getting rid of him.
