Really impressed with how Almiron played today. He absolutely nullified the threat of James Rodriguez. He defended him brilliantly all game.

Ref was so poor in the City game it was almost impressive.

I'm not sure City got a single call in their favor in that game. Also that handball non-call at the end lmao. What is a handball even?

Dude intentionally reaches out to slap the ball away and somehow VAR looks at that and goes "looks legit to me".

I believe English officials have resorted to Googling 'handball' and have become very confused due to seeing results of the sport of handball.

It's also sad how much we all now the level of cringe required when they say "(Name) is the VAR official tonight." In the Spurs v Liverpool match the second they said "Jon Moss is the VAR official" as they were looking at the Firimno 'handball' I knew it was being reversed, because Jon Moss.

Bruno gets away without a yellow as always.

That tackle, acting as if he was seriously hurt from an unintentional forearm, not elbow, and he blatantly dove in the box due to Cedric making body contact.

It’s just the beginning, too. He’ll score, dive some more, look helpless with that stupid face, on and on.

I’m sad at how many times I’ve been reminded that Pepe is not Saka.

Seeing the replays, how the hell is VAR not telling Michael Oliver to at least look at the monitor for the incident with Fernandes on Xhaka? Just 2 minutes after the Cedric yellow. So inconsistent.

Perception is often incredibly flawed, it seems. Officials from time to time seem to think certain players do one thing, others do another.

So, Bruno gets fouled, but he doesn’t commit harsh fouls. Xhaka does, though, so he would’ve been booked immediately. But Bruno isn’t that type of player, but Xhaka is—which translates to they often attempt to judge intent. Bruno didn’t mean it, but if Xhaka made that challenge, he meant it.

It’s the same as certain players getting denied fouls or penalties because once or twice they’ve gone down easier.

It’s all crap. Hopefully the match gets decided by a player.

Unlucky, I fully expected Xhaka to take it.

No Tierney, Saka, or Auba—at this point I want the point given those circumstances and the stage of the game.

Maguire just pulled The Harry Kane, intentional as hell, possibly injuring Lacazette in doing so. Currently, Maguire is pretending to be injured, also.

Before I see “Lacazette did the same to Pogba”, no.

Pogba came in at speed and already in the air well above Lacazette. Laca put his head down and seemed to be far more reacting to Pogba coming in hot, leaving Laca no chance to even go for the ball.

                              They were not the same.
