Very good lot decisions going on in Sheffield vs. Belsen....let’s do baby blue v largely white with red stripes that mostly only are in the front kits!

Sheffield gave it right back. How that was not called a pk initially by the assistant is mind boggling.

The fact that penalty even had to go to VAR should tell you that the problem in England are the refs themselves

What would happen in that situation where the play went on while the review was “going on”if a goal, red card, something “significant” happens during that review time?

Yeah Kerik, the kit clash in the Chelsea-Sheffield was so bad. Idk how they allowed it. We should have been in our home blues.

Soucek's red card has been overturned, but Mike Dean will officiate a game this weekend, so it really doesn't matter much.

Edit: I was wrong! He received death threats and has asked to not officiate a match next weekend.

So because some people are disgusting and psychotic, the conversation will switch to how referees are merely human and away from them being systematically poor at their job. The FA will likely now throw out even larger fines for anyone publicly questioning referee decisions, citing a need for civility, etc.

However, no changes will be made to improve the officiating at all.

I know a few of us have been broken records about it, but they've needed for years to look to rugby. How the players know/have learned they can interact with the referee, how the referee interacts with them, how they communicate, everything.

It's one thing in the Premier League I've noticed a lot, is the way referees dismiss players away from them is, well, pathetic. In rugby, a referee has control but still speaks to players like they're humans. They're blunt, but authoritative. In the Premier League every weekend you see referees shoo players away, ignore them, and basically treat them as children. They've cultivated the climate they now work in by refusing to improve how they interact with players and managers. They don't seem to understand that having authority means you can still communicate with grace and tact.

No, we can't hear what they're saying, but the body language says it all.

Whether you want Leeds to go down or not, you can't deny how great it is to see them now in 10th as they continue to essentially use the same squad from last season.

Kreb they literally went out and dropped 117 mil on

                          Rodrigo
                          Raphina
                          Llorente
                          Heider Costa
                          Meslier
                          Koch
                          And loaned in Harrisson

Fulham in 18/19 spent 128 mil with a few big buys (Mitro & Serri) but yeah they did loan in a bunch of guys in Jan when it looked like they were going down.

I think it’s more impressive seeing them not alter their approach and go after teams. Doesn’t matter if it’s Liverpool or Sheffield, they’re going to impose their style on you.

I didn't say they didn't spend money or bring in new players, I said they're essentially using the same squad. Yes, the new players have made appearances and made an impact, but here are their apperances so far out of 22 matches:

                            Rodrigo: 18
                            Raphina: 17
                            Llorente: 2
                            Costa: 13
                            Koch: 11

Harrison had his loan extended. He made 45 appearances for them in the Championship last season. Meslier was on loan last year (10 apperances) and made his move permanent this year, so he's not a new addition, either.

They haven't abandoned what got them to this point, or the players who did so, as so many do when they're promoted. Yes, they brought in players, but its those who were there last season that have still had the biggest impact, I'd say.

Not a good penalty call probably, but I’m just gonna call this one karma.

He gets away with an amazing amount of fouls without ever being properly punished.
