Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
They've got a really good chance this year as long as they protect Mbappe and Neymar from getting hurt. With the way City is playing now and KDB's injury being unknown City are only slight favorites win the tie.
Just head on down 95 to DC. Nice kits and an incredible stadium.Comment

And I don't mean to pick on just City, because you don't really want to dig in to the ownership or sponsorship web of most all clubs in top leagues if principles are what you're after.
I don't agree with the Super League, but if it happens, it happens.Comment

I also don't support it, but it certainly just feels like an inevitability. I'd also probably end up watching it, so long as I don't need another damn streaming service for it.Support Local Sports

It's def going to cost us something but hopefully it gets picked up by ESPN since a lot of us already have ESPN+.Comment

Nike/Adidas are objectively worse than almost any owner, bar like City and PSG (even then, its probably still Nike/Adidas if you take their entire history into account rather than just recent stuff), so unless people are going to stop buying their stuff and they stop sponsoring 90% of professional football, its just a bunch of talk about which morally bankrupt billionaire is worse than the other.Last edited by Brahvocado; 04-19-2021, 03:18 PM.Comment

Anyone who watches a single second should be ashamed of themselves and the decisions they’ve made that led them to make such a selfish, apathetic statement.Last edited by BunnyHardaway; 04-19-2021, 03:28 PM.Comment

Levy sacking Jose at the perfect time. All talk on the Super League, instead of a day full of people talking about the failed hire, people barely mention it.
It’s hard to be excited or interested to see who Spurs hire next until we know what the future holds for the whole club/league.Current careers:

Hummel4lyfe.
It is really sobering looking at this from the lens of the TV billionaires are telling us the club billionaires are the bad guys, while the billionaires sponsoring the other billionaires are all just trying to make sure they aren't left behind.

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
I'm watching while working (welcome to 2021) and I couldn't see who had the last Liverpool chance near the penalty spot but the fact that didn't result in a Liverpool goal must pretty much sum up their frustrating title defense.Last edited by bhurst99; 04-19-2021, 04:01 PM.Comment

It could have been worse if it weren't for Alisson. Saves against Bamford, Roberts and Harrison keep us in the game.Comment

All Super League BS aside it was nice to enjoy an exciting footy match (please don’t ruin my buzz by saying something like “well we won’t get these games in the future [emoji23]).
Would have been nicer had Leeds equipped their finishing boots but I’m not greedy.
