Of course Thiago scores having done enough to be sent off.

I saw the tweet earlier and now I can’t find it, but apparently Burnley currently have the longest run of games in the league without having a player sent off at 111 games. The next closest is Chelsea at 20 games.

That statistic is insane, and proves that if anyone thinks different teams are not officiated by different standard and rules, you’re insane.

Burnley are literally rewarded by consistently playing dirty. They’ve (along with others) warped the perception of what is and not foul play.

        ****. This. League.

Looks like Mason Greenwood will be in the directors box for Man United’s next game.

Not good. Not good at all. The pics and sound clip are damning. No place for that in football at all. Arrested. **** that dude.

Manchester United announced that Mason Greenwood would not return to training or play any matches until further notice after he was accused of assaulting a woman; Greenwood, 20, remains in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing, Greater Manchester Police said.

Honestly sounds like there could even be more than one woman.

I hope stuff like this starts coming out more often and getting punished, he's absolutely not the only one and won't be the last sadly.

Feels like we are at a crossroads where some actual change can be made.

                      2021-2022 English Football Thread

I missed the added “threats to kill” charges earlier this week.

It’s likely over for him at the top level and England.

Rapist David Goodwillie had been playing for Clyde, but he just had a contract offer rescinded at Raith because pretty much everyone involved with the club (supporters, sponsors, the entire women’s team, etc) were not having it. I can’t imagine any reputable club will touch Greenwood after all this shakes out.

EDIT: Actually not rescinded, but he will not be played and they are reviewing options to get rid of his contract. The board isn’t gonna survive this, they’re all gonna have to resign or see their club ruined.

So yeah, seems like things are changing, Brav.

Looked like a handball on Boro's goal, no? Extra time it is.

This hasn't been the best week for Manchester United.

Saw this in the match report:

Following a revision of the interpretation of the rule by IFAB during the summer, accidental handball is only penalised if the player in question then scores a goal.
