Someone made an interesting point about that PK on twitter. The ref blew for HT and then went to VAR to check. He then awarded the PK which was saved and Auba scores the rebound.

Should the rebound have been allowed considering the HT whistle had already blown? I don’t know the rule but in other sports like basketball or even the NFL it’s an untimed shot/down.

Rebounds are dumb, but he didn't blow for HT, he stopped play to go and look at the replay. If he had blown for HT, then yes, apparently the rebound would not have counted.
