Oof another early 2-0 lead that results in only 1 point.

It’s never a single moment—**** nuanced averse modern day analysis.

I apologize for the team in advance if they’re unable to stop the nearly unstoppable force years before any sane Arsenal supporter predicted we’d be able to keep a straight face while saying we could complete for a title.

          Lol. Okay.

In two minutes of game time it went from potentially 1-3 to 2-2, and everything clearly shifted from the energy in the stadium to tactics. West Ham went from trying to salvage a point to a header away from taking all 3 after the missed spot kick.

          But go off.

I'd say if it's often incredibly difficult to pinpoint when a match changes, or what constitutes momentum shifts, but just as last week, I'd say the goal for the opposition is what changed things (not shocking, I know).

Last week some people couldn't see past Xhaka getting booked as 'THE TURNING POINT' when it 'felt' more that it was the scoreline going from 0-2 to 1-2 and I'd say it's exactly the same this week.

It's obviously a different game if Saka makes it 1-3 but VAR seemingly not caring, or checking (I wouldn't be surprised if it later comes out they didn't check it) the Rice handball which allowed him to control the ball, leading to a Gabriel error which gave West Ham life is arguably a much bigger, and earlier moment which changes the game.

However, there's far more to it than that, as I'd say even before the moments leading up to West Ham's penalty Arsenal allowed them back into the game in a way a team with more years of experience would not. The nativity has been a constant this season, and was always a massive factor in why I never felt a title challenge could be sustained. The moment has come too damn early for this squad, but the bigger issue is that could be the only moment (season) they get.

Meh, Arsenal slipping on a unmissable banana skin in this final stretch was always in the cards—it was a matter of when, not if. Broken record, but for anyone who watches every minute of Arsenal matches this season, the weaknesses have been incredibly visible. Thankfully the positives have been accentuated enough, but the negatives were always going to play a role.

Arsenal reverted back to LOLsenal in the 2nd half I see.

It’s not Spurs or Chelsea funny luckily but they still “should’ve” picked up the 3 today. At least they’ll be back in the Champions League though

My mistake! After viewing again, it’s not only an obvious handball by Rice, but Gabriel tucked in his legs entirely—no error made. It was a dive, no penalty.

                  Whatever.

Can we wheel Martyn Tyler out of the commentary booth already? ****'s sake he's so past it. You'd think his pet died when Liverpool scores a goal. It's especially jarring since we usually get to listen to Peter Drury.

I’m honestly afraid he’ll be at it for many, many more years.

These legend announcers always stick it out 5-10 years too long at least. I enjoy hearing his voice, but it's also a reminder that it ain't 2004 anymore, or even 2012.

Someone had to pass a note to Tyler when he was talking about Luis Diaz and Sinisterra. He was going on about how Sinisterra was adjusting to European football while Diaz had been at Porto even though Sinisterra played in the Netherlands for years. He was under the assumption he was fresh from Colombia. Didn't even bother to do research.

He also called Curtis Jones Salah a few times. I think he just sees shapes with hair.
