Guimares on a yellow diving in his own box at zero contact so obviously Taylor calls a foul on Nunez.Comment

Anthony Taylor has told a player to get up after a clear foul about 5 times in this game.Comment

Yeah it’s a weird case where there was the slightest contact but once he realizes his touch had gotten away he had to win the penalty so he ends up diving 2 secs later lol

I wish refs actually called fouls like that without the player having to go down, but they don’t.Comment

It’s definitely gotten close to tinfoil hat territory just considering the sheer amount of stuff Joelinton and Guimares get away with every single game.Comment

I feel like everyone (the league, players) moved on from Mike Dean’s comments far too quickly*—because that admission was incredibly damning.
I’m not saying they’re being paid to be biased (but I wouldn’t be surprised) but I’m so over pretending that they’re just ‘bad at their jobs’ instead of acknowledging they show bias, even if it’s not consistent.
bias: prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.
We shrug it off so easily, likely because there’s no other option** but think about how Kane was officiated, or how Rodri escaped so many cautions. It’s always been there but with Newcastle in particular it seems to on a different level.
*He didn’t admit bias, but he proved that they’re not merely idiots—they intentionally make wrong decisions.
**There really isn’t, because there’s no sign it will change, so I get pretending it’s not there.Last edited by Krebstar; 01-02-2024, 08:04 AM.Comment

*looks at table* Yep
But the refereeing is honestly in the dumps and takes away from it a little bit.
Liverpool has been fun as hell to watch. Salah’s leading the league in…pretty much everything. And they have a bunch of fun wins. And I get together with a crew of about 5 depending on people's schedules for almost all of the weekend Liverpool matches, so that's always a good way to get out and shoot the ****.
Kreb doesn’t actually enjoy the sport, so there’s that lol (we still love you Kreb)Last edited by ImTellinTim; 01-02-2024, 11:10 AM.Comment
