They'll probably make a run at Messi with all that dough.

Re: The Transfer Thread
You might be disappointed to see him go, but you can't be surprised. After everything that went down last summer, you knew this would be a matter of time. Florentino's insertion as president only made this a formality as Ronaldo had wanted to go to Spain for quite some time.
I am sure Ferguson has replacements in mind, but at the end of the day, as much as he would have loved to keep Ronaldo, if the player wants to leave, United can't win another struggle 2 years running
As an Arsenal fan, hopefully this makes it easier for the Gunners to winComment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I'm not surprised. I'm just wondering who United will get to replace him. And let's face it, no fan wants to lose one of the top 3 best players in the world to another club.
I guess we'll get something official within a few weeks (or days) time.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
I still think Utd should sets their sights mighty higher than Valencia as a replacement.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
Yeah....Valencia is not that great IMHO.
It will be interesting to see who they get as a winger because they do need 1 now. Park works hard, but isn't great and Nani is still a big question mark. Tosic is not ready either.
You will miss Ronaldo, but if Fergie invests well, United should be fine. Everytime people count out Manchester United, Fergie always seemingly makes them pay. This will be tough though because of how much Ronaldo was relied upon the last 3 seasons....Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
They should hold out for another 20 million so they can buy Newcastle!
I wonder if this will have any affect on Tevez staying or going?Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
80 million? Done deal.
If every penny, or pence I should say does not go into the transfer kitty, we'll be hearing Die Glazer Die again. But that's three or four players, plus the chance of keeping Tevez, I'm all for it.
For Madrid's sake, I would hope to see a defender or four coming in soon. That has been their downfall, not the lack of attacking options.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
All of a sudden, I don't feel so bad about Kaká anymore lol.
ManU will suffer plenty from losing Ronaldo. Just my opinion, so I can obviously be wrong. They were discombobulated after Beckham left and before Cristiano developed in the player he is today. The way they play is centered around Ronaldo. Fergie needs to get that next budding superstar. Maybe it's Macheda, I dunno.Comment

Re: The Transfer Thread
And ChrisHero is right. Madrid's achilles has been defence. Even with the last Galacticos era, they came up small because of too many egos and suspect defence.Comment
