I like this pickup WS just based on Yossi's versatility which is something Joe Cole gave us. Yeah Cole played a lil narrow but after the injuries he doesn't have the pace anymore out wide. Yossi should be a good spot player.

Wow. I fully expected him to go to Birmingham. Thought he would work pretty well with Zigic as he is more of a goal poucher.

Interesting. I'd like to see that. It's a step I thought Bruce Arena should've tried before returning to MLS.

This is an odd one, Everton must have either been very confident he was going to sign or they have just been really stupid, probably both actually.

It's happened before with other clubs but this could cost Everton £4m as they could have recieved that much in compensation via a tribunal.

I can understand him wanting to leave as he wants regular first team football. I don't see it hurting Everton that much other than financially as although he is a good young prospect he isn't in the same class as say Rodwell.

Everton doesn't have as much money as it is. Rodwell is young and English, that automatically makes him worth 10 million. Add to the fact that he's actually pretty decent. Everton probably screwed themselves out of 15 million pounds with this blunder.

Gosling is a good young player. He won't be a FA for too long.

                    Agreed.

I can see him going to Bolton or someone else mid to lower table and getting a good bit of time on the pitch.

I'm glad that he is out of the SPL. He is worthless and will find himself worthless at Middlesbourough.

                          I don't agree.

I see a big club jumping on him. Free transfer plus reasonable wage demands, thats a no brainer to jump on a kid like Gosling. I think he ends up at a place no worse than Aston Villa.

I would love for Arsenal to take a good look at this kid. Regardless, whoever gets him will have done a good piece of business.

Looks like Barcelona wasn't successful with their pathetic tactics to acquire Cesc. I guess not being able to afford their own players might be partially responsible.

Frankly, if I was a barca supporter, I would be glad he's not coming, he should during the World Cup that he's not good enough to Play for Barca.

And the Price tag?50M lol, 35M would have been to much to pay for him.(For Barca)

I just don't know where Cesc would fit in on a regular basis at Barca. It's very similar to his national team situation. I would assume that next their MF/FW lineup looks like this:

                                Villa - Messi - Pedro
                                Xavi - Iniesta
                                Busquets

Technically they usually lineup in 4-3-3 but Busquets/Toure always end up playing behind Xavi. Maybe you could move Iniesta up for Pedro and employ Cesc next to Xavi for some real possession fball but Pedro was a stud last yr and brings more pace and a willingness to go for goal (something Iniesta does have).
