Can't he play the wing though? I don't want Anelka being a pseudo wing forward again.

well, I suppose you could put him there though really he's meant to play up top, and that's where he's best from.

Red Bulls vs Galaxy in August is gonna be a spectacle now! I'm a bit envious (and worried!) of NY's pair up top now. JP and Henry is scary.

Henry will absolutely rip up the MLS, if he is coming here to actually compete. If he is just coming to live in NYC and collect a pay check, he is still worth 15 goals for the Red Bulls.

First time I can say I'm excited about something the MLS has done. Hopefully he brings 100%, if he does, I think he can be the spark plug the MLS needs.

K, I watched a lot of Inter, but only during champions league.

I like Mario's skill, would love to have him at the Bridge.

Wow, Henry to MLS... Never would've dreamed of it while watching him shred the EPL in the early part of this decade. Too bad Columbus or DC is as close as he'll get to me.

Paul the Octopus to Madrid, no seriously, per the Guardian.

Mexican International is said to be linked with Celtic with a deal close.-various sources.

Rafa Marquez is rumored to be interested in joining Henry with NY.

And Finally Pablo Barrera is close to joining West Ham pending UK work Permit-

he's just saying the right things. I hope he means it though. LD is much more valuable to the growth our own domestic league and the sport in the USA, than he is to a super wealthy European League/club

No doubt something that would be reflected in differing interpretations, perhaps widely so, of Donovan's transfer value/fee.

MLS honchos surely have noticed the extent to which Donovan has become the poster boy for American soccer due to the Cup success. He was one of the most prominent athletes at the ESPYs, for chrissakes -- a notion that would have been unthinkable prior to the Cup. His value to US soccer and, specifically, MLS has skyrocketed.

Donovan, too, might be putting the brakes on a move, or at least a delay until the winter window. That Bianca, with her tempting wares...
