Lukaku apparently will not be signing a new contract at Everton.

Nah, he's going to United. With Rooney coming the other way.

I just can't imagine after all this talk of ambition with Koeman and actually having money that Everton would let United rinse them that badly.

              Then again it's Everton.

Bastian Schweinsteiger having a medical at Chicago Fire. Man Utd agree to let him leave.

I don't understand the timing of this considering the huge number of games we have over April-May. Unless Mou starts playing Tim Fosu-Mensah in midfield, we're quite thin in that area.

I wish Bastian had more chances, since he's quite ideal to rotate with Carrick. He'll always be the fussballgot!

Seems like he'd rather use Fellaini.

Jose likes his squads small, and if you aren't part of that plan then you are pretty expendable.

His preference for Fellaini is quite clear, but if another senior midfielder goes down/is suspended, then we'd have to go with academy guys -- or play someone out of position -- during a crucial period. I was also talking more about Basti and Carrick almost being a like for like rotation option, but Jose hardly ever tried that.

He will play people out of position before he throws an inexperienced academy player out there.

We had both Costa and Remy injured at one point in our title winning season and Jose played Zouma up top instead of an academy player.

In Jose's defence, he hasn't done that with us (yet). Going back to Basti, I just really wish he had more opportunities, since I really believe he still had a lot to offer as a rotational player. It is what it is, though!

Several rumbles about where Alexis will be playing next season this morning (it won't be for Arsenal)—The Guardian is even saying Chelsea have made him their prime target.

I don't care if we only get £30m—he can not be sold to a PL club. I'm going to pretend the club are not that stupid, but we'll see. Send him to Italy or France, anywhere but staying in England.

Out of respect for everyone here that makes this forum 1000 times more tolerable than the rest of the internet, if Alexis moves to Chelsea while Wenger extends his contract I'll wait several days before posting anything.
