This is the biggest takeaway from this. It's fun watching Barca get a taste of their own medicine, but at the end of the day PSG just bought a player using money from their ultra shady government without a single dime being on their books.

Now that this is done, I'm not sure what will stop other clubs from finding all sorts of creative "sponsorships" and doing this same thing for any player with a release clause.

This is also why La Liga itself was freaking out. Spanish law requires all players in Spain to have a release clause. It's going to be open season on La Liga players if this sort of thing becomes the norm.
