    Straight swap, no cash—pretty crazy.

I'm happy with this. Alexis doesn't want to stay, and there have been several reports that his not liked in the locker room. Also, it's clear he has issues with teammates on the field.

Mkhitaryan clearly didn't work well under Jose (add him to the list) and has a chance to come into a team in which he can contribute immediately.

No transfer fee would be insane if true.

I agree—I just can't believe it even though it's being reported by David Ornstein, which is as reputable as you'll get in terms of journalists covering Arsenal.

The Sanchez/Mkhitaryan swap has finally been confirmed by both clubs.

I'm so excited to see Alexis throwing a fit and not getting along with teammate under a different badge. He'll score some amazing goals, but I do wonder how well he's going to fit into that squad and with Mourinho in terms of his personality.

I'll miss his talent, but I'm glad to see the dressing room rid of his attitude.

Welcome, Mkhi—may you assist Lacazette again and again.

                  Gooners,

Do you guys think you can get something out of Mikhytarian? I know you had to get something in return but apart from like 4-5 games in the beginning of this year he’s been bad.

Would you rather have him or the ~35 mil?

I'd rather have him. It's not a definite, but there's certainly a chance that a change in scenery and a change in manager (the complete opposite type of manager) may help him rediscover his form. There's a reason his form went off a cliff, and I think it's just that—his form. The player he was at Dortmund, which was a phenomenal player is still in there and maybe he can become that player again.

Aubameyang still seems completely up in the air, but it has been confirmed that we've made an offer, and we have a group in Dortmund negotiating as of now. Perhaps a reunion will help Mkhi regain some of that past form.

I think this might also be a sign of the very slow, but positive changes at the club. Those who were responsible for handling transfers this past Summer are not handling transfers now. The absolute circus that surrounded our attempt at selling Alexis and bringing in Lemar was yet another example in a long line of massive transfer errors at the club.

Those who do not follow Arsenal are not familiar with Dick Law, except perhaps his funny name. He was essentially our chief negotiator and someone Arsene highly supported. Well, he retired after this Summer, and with him went a history of hilarious poor transfer dealings. Things such as missing flights to foreign countries to close deals or negotiate, etc.

It seems clear that Gazidis is gaining more power, bringing in people he wants to bring in, and attempting to modernize the damn club, including transfers.

1st, consider the fact that had we taken the 35m, it would most likely not get spent this window and I think that Mkhitaryan is a better player than he was ever able to show at Man Utd. Whether he'll be given a fair shot, or played correctly here is a whole different story, but considering Sanchez was bound to leave on a free, I'm just happy we received something in return.

On to Sanchez, I don't harbor any ill will towards him. I understand his ambition, and I don't believe, based on what I've seen, that he ever truly "gave up" while at Arsenal. I believe that there was probably some sort of tension in the locker room, I don't believe it was enough to fracture or even write a report about. I wish Sanchez nothing but the best in the future.

I’d say, at the very least, Arsenal has a better chance of seeing the Dortmund version of Mkhi than United did.

He needs an attacking manager to get the best out of him, not saying Arsenal is the perfect scenario, but there’s probably more of a chance he will come good for Arsenal for those of you looking for a silver lining.

This is why I have hope. He's far more the type of player who can thrive under Arsene than Mourinho. Not to mention, if you don't work well under Mourinho it might be best to go to the opposite type of manager—which would be Arsene.

Kenedy to Newcastle on loan, looks like just until the end of the season.

Ajax signed right-back Rasmus Kristiansen, I expect him to move on in 2-3 years. He's really good at shooting up the wing and recovering.

Erik Sviatchenko back at FC Midtjylland on loan from Celtic as well. Hopefully he's recovered from his injury and can earn a spot in the world cup squad.
