You must be young. Now that the DLC door is open it will never close again, they know people will pay. All games from all genres have DLC now and it will only get bigger in the future. As long as the items required for 'regular play' do not cost additional money beyond the price of the game the FTC will have no issues.

EA knows what they are doing
