We really see all the charisma of the Miz in there, well done.

Re: Justin Thomas Talks PGA TOUR 2K21 with The Miz

Well, it's very clear they are looking to draw in that casual crowd that we've talked about on here quite a bit.

The only thing they really talked about in relation to the 2K21 game was the player creation/customization. Everything else was just fluff and not even related to the game itself. However, JT briefly discussed what sounds like the career mode. At the 1:58 mark of the video, he talks about hoping that players have a hard time getting past him at the "final stages". And it's a "fun process". Not much, but something.

Since this is still early on in the marketing process for the game, it's not surprising. But I think everyone is hoping to get more specific details about the game and game modes, as well as seeing some actual gameplay at some point soon here, too.

That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Graphics look substantially better here than the trailer.

The grass and trees for sure have been updated and look nicer. The gameplay looks to be pretty similar. This is giving me a glimmer of hope!!

Re: Justin Thomas Talks PGA TOUR 2K21 with The Miz

I could see more of a graphical improvement with this video. It gave us longer looks a some of the camera positions than the trailer. I thought the rough looked more organic and fluid and I did see a hint of less vivid transitions between light and heavy rough.

The Miz (whom I'd never heard of before yesterday) seemed to be a golfer and paved the way for himself to get some practice time in with 2K21 so he can play Justin in a live match later. If they really want to promote the game and draw in some new fans, a live match streamed between those two be a good way to do it. It would also help us hardcore guys get some of the answers we seek about gameplay.

OnlookerDelay with the YouTube firsty on that video! [/golfclap]

One positive from the video (although the animations still looked like crap to me): the color palette was much brighter, which I absolutely love. I used to complain about this on the Tiger Woods games incessantly (to no avail, obviously), but I always felt like the color palette - in particular the green colors - were much too dark overall. The games looked like they were constantly an overcast day to me. It's a minor nit-pick but it did bug the living bejesus out of me, because when I think of golf, I think of bright colors and sunshine. Not every day of course, and you want a variety of weather conditions (hint), but the default sunny day should look and feel like it. At least this trailer had some brighter overall green colors, which was nice. So it's got that goin' for it....

Any word on the gameplay changes yet?

I can't keep up with all this, but "slight graphical bump" wasn't on my bingo card of what was needed to get me interested.

That's a "nice to have" for sure, but not compelling if the swing, physics, shot outcomes -- basically "gameplay"-- is where ones concerns were/are.
