2009 IIHF World Championships - United States

OK so this will run alongside my KHL and upcoming NHL dynasties as this is just a quick side project. I could only fill 8 squads accurately with the players available in NHL 09 but I guess that cuts away some filler so it's really not to bad. Besides, Hungary isn't even on the game.

I'll be controlling the United States team. Also in the tournament are Canada, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany.

The format is two round-robin rounds with 1 point for overtime/shootout losses followed by a single elimination format with continuous OT to decide the winner.

Re: 2009 IIHF World Championships - United States

al montaya is a freaking beastman.

hes like manbearpig--half goalie, half god, half beast.

hes vastly underrated in this game, hes got one of the biggest upsides in the NHL for his age group.

man was SICK when he was in the IIHF under-20 world championships, he was the only reason his USA team won the gold that year.

if only this was a dynasty, you'd be set in goal forever, lol.
