Game #11 Away vs Phoenix

- The Predators extend their winning streak to 9 games with a win over Phoenix on a night Labarberra was in net. It was a game where the Predators were outshot but scored goals at a high percentage. Up next for the Predators is a road game against the Kings. Pekka Rinne is expected to have the night off. Look for Anders Lindback in net.

Re: Nashville Predators (NHL 11)

Game #12 Away vs Los Angeles

-The Predators come from down 3 in the third to beat the Kings in a shootout to keep the winning streak going, now at 10. Sergei Kostitsyn started the rally by scoring the first goal for Nashville shortly after the Kings took a lead. He followed it up with a second goal to cut the lead to one, then Steve Sullivan tied it up. Matthew Halischuk gave the Predators a lead, only for Kopitar to answer on the PP with 30 second left in the game. Able to kill off another Penalty in OT the Predators forced a shootout getting the winner from Steve Sullivan. The game came at a cost though, Centers Matthew Lombardi and Colin Wilson were both injured.

-Nashville Goal Scorers
--Sergei Kostitsyn (5,6)
--Steve Sullivan (3)
--Matthew Halischuk (2)

Nashville Injury Notes
--C Matthew Lombardi will miss a week with a strained hamstring.
--C Colin Wilson is expected to miss most of November with a hip pointer.
--Cs Marcel Goc and Jamie Lundmark were called up to fill the void at C.

Wow! Your guys are rather good at coming back from being down in the third, Grats on having the composure to do that.

Nice on you getting Evander as well he will put up excellent numbers for you, you may want to draft/trade for another guy with size and skill to make space for Kane in the offensive zone.

Good job so far

Yeah I've gotten the lucky bounces all season so far.

I have Kane on the first line with Wilson for that very reason. I would like to find a RW to compliment the TWF in Wilson and SNP in Kane. It's tough to pull off trades without much trade value on the team. I was looking at either Bobby Ryan or Dustin Brown to get up on that first line, but the Ducks and Kings are not willing to let those guys go it seems.

If my winning streak hits a couple more games I will definitely need to figure out a way to make it more difficult without making it impossible.

Thanks for the input I appreciate it. And for anyone else that follows this feel free to throw out some suggestions for me. I am always open to hearing new ideas or suggestions about anything from the roster to the be a gm in general.

Re: Nashville Predators (NHL 11)

Game #13 Away vs Anaheim

- The Predators had no late game heroics tonight. The Ducks scored two unanswered goals in the third period to snap the Predators win streak at 10. The absence of Shea Weber has been noticeable on the back end for the Predators for the last couple games. His return should help this team out. It is becoming more evident every game of the need for one more big body up front. Without Colin Wilson in the lineup the size is very lacking for Nashville. I would expect them to try hard to find a physical guy in the next couple days.

-Nashville Goal Scorers
--Patric Hornqvist (7)
--Sergei Kostitsyn (7)

Nashville Injury Notes
--Shea Weber has been cleared to play in the next game against the Blues. His return means another AHL stint for veteran Francis Bouillon.

Re: Nashville Predators (NHL 11)

Game #14 Away vs St. Louis

-The Predators suffered their second loss in a row at the end of this road trip. They managed to get to OT in a game that they struggled defensively the whole time. Pekka Rinne was pulled in the first period after giving up three goals in a span of 2 minutes. Lindback stood strong in net for the Predators after coming in, allowing the Predators to hang in all game. After Tying it up at 4, the Predators gave up a goal in the third to go down 5-4. With the goalie pulled and 30 second left on the clock leading scorer Sergei Kostitsyn stepped up big with his second goal of the game to send it to OT and secure 1 pt in the standing for Nashville. The new players all had an impact, none as much as Magnus Paajarvi who scored a SH goal for his first in the NHL. Up next for the Predators is a home game against a team they are 0-1 against on the season. The Chicago Blackhawks.

-Nashville Goal Scorers
--Sergei Kostitsyn (8,9)
--Matthew Halischuk (3)
--Magnus Paajarvi (1)
--Steve Sullivan (4)

Nashville Injury Notes
--C Matthew Lombardi is now healthy again. Jamie Lundmark has been sent down the the AHL team.
