Nice start to the season. I like the game layouts.

Thanks, I put quite a bit of work into making a nice box score. I have another one that is more detailed for playoff hockey which i hope to use this season.

I'll be playing probably 90% of my game this season and the ones I don't play will still be played cpu vs cpu rather then a straight sim.

I plan on doing daily game recaps and a mid season report at 20 and 41 games. Another report at the trade deadline and at the end of the season.

I hope everyone enjoys this project as much as I do!

Sucks that the Pens lost to the Islanders, but what were the Islanders doing in the Playoffs to begin with?

I think it was just a matter of everything finally falling into place for the Isles that year. I think DiPietro finally had a healthy season playing a full regular season up to his potential and the top 2 lines for the Isles were scoring for them. I remember being buried by them 6-2 and it was the line of Moulson - Tavares - Okposo that was just dominant.

Also, thanks for reading Matt314hew. It's good to see that you are still around. I'm hoping for OBG to make an appearance in this thread.

NEWS & NOTES:

The Ottawa Senators blueline took a big hit after last nights game when they found out (D) Erik Karlsson will be out of the lineup for 3 weeks after taking a hit from Dallas forward Brendan Morrow. On what is being called a clean hit, Karlsson is suffering from Post Concussion Symptoms and will be out of the line up while being reevaluated.

A standout during preseason play, (D) David Rundblad has been called up from Binghamton to take Karlsson's spot.
