Re: Tazer19's Chicago Blackhawks Dynasty (NHL 14)

I kept double checking to make sure that the Canucks actually made the playoffs because based on their numbers they probably shouldn't have, but they found away. I don't think they will be around for long as I think the Sharks could be the team to emerge from the West, that is, if the Hawks don't. The Sharks are top 10 in the NHL in every category listed above, they are sure to be a hard out.

Well, that was a weird game to say the least. Hawks exploded for five goals in the third period to rally all the way back from a 3-1 deficit to take game one. For two periods the Hawks couldn't get behind the Minnesota defense, the Wild were playing their game to a T. In the third period the Hawks finally got pucks deep, used their speed to retrieve them and went to work, a lot of chances, and goal came from the blue line, expect more of that in game two.

The Hawks clamped down in this one but another turnover in their own zone led to the first and only Minnesota goal. This one was in doubt until late in the third, again, that's when Patrick Kane scored the goal of the playoffs up to this point as he danced through the Minnesota defense before roofing one on Backstrom. Better effort from the Hawks in game two, and the special teams were actually special in this one. Not going to get any easier heading to Minnesota, have to really stick to the game plan in their building.

One game away. Happy to see Ott net the game winner (shorthanded, no less) in game three and watching the Blackhawks destroy the Wild again is always a pleasant sight (I think Craig Leopold is a d-bag for his comments on how teams 'overspend', then proceeds to sign Parise and Suter to megadeals and re-signs Jason Pominville for $5.6 million per).

Destroy the Wild. Should be an easy sweep.
