Injury Update/Trade

Oilers lose Roy for 8-10 weeks, acquire Lapierre from St. Louis

Edmonton, AB

On Wednesday the Edmonton Oilers announced that veteran centre Derek Roy will miss the next 8-10 weeks with a broken leg that he suffered against the LA Kings on Tuesday after being hit by Drew Doughty. They also announced that they acquired centre Maxim Lapierre a long with a 2015 4th round pick from the St. Louis Blues for a 2015 3rd round pick. Brad Hunt is listed as day-to-day.

Side note: I know trades usually don't happen this early on but I felt like I had no other internal options.

People tend not to post, they only enjoy reading Dynasties sometimes.

I for one am following, I just haven't got the time to take a look around the forums yet. Good trade for Lapierre, he's a great shutdown C for the PK.

Breadens got it, mostly people just read. A good way to draw responses is to read and respond yourself to other active dynasties around, then we do the same for you.

Good luck in your up coming games

I liked him for his grit. Good physical player that like you said can kill penalties. I also loved his $1.1M salary. Easy to move at the deadline if I need to!
