Thanks to those who tuned in!

Ward Magnificent in 1-0 Win Over Panthers
Cam Ward turned aside every shot thrown his way en route to a 27-save shutout over the Florida Panthers. Nathan Gerbe scored the Hurricanes' lone goal, off a busted shot from Riley Nash. The Panthers dominated the game, but Ward stood strong and Carolina weathered the onslaught.

Versteeg Scores Late to Top Red Wings
Kris Versteeg scored with 51 seconds to play in the 3rd period and rookie Jacob Slavin notched 2 assists as the Hurricanes beat the Red Wings 3-2 in Detroit. In the teams' second game this year, Detroit once again took an early lead, this time on a goal from Pavel Datsyuk, but Jeff Skinner hammered home a rebound late in the period to equalize. Riley Nash scored shorthanded to give Carolina the lead in the 2nd, but Darren Helm scored early in the 3rd, setting up Versteeg's eventual winner. Cam Ward made 32 saves in the win.
