After a disappointing 2014-2015 season the Toronto Maple Leafs understand they need to commit to a long and proper rebuild and that started with the draft and selecting star prospect Mitch Marner in the first round.
That is not all they did as they decided it was time for a new era in the front office and named young highly praised executive Kyle Dubas as the new General Manager of the Leafs.
The new era was not done there as the Leafs shelled out big money to sign Mike Babcock to a long term deal to be the new Head Coach.
With a young inexperienced General Manager, and a much respected very successful head coach it appears the Leafs will be using a team effort to do this rebuild right and hopefully finally bring a cup back to Toronto.
