Good! I did a 32nd expansion with NHL18 (did 5 years), so I made a rule to not take the same players from the expansion draft and to not trade for the same players I used in NHL 18.

Jenner wins it late

SEA 0-1-2-3 SOG 28 (2-2-0)
CHI 1-0-1-2 SOG 22 (2-2-0)

Boone Jenner scored with 26.9 seconds left to give Seattle their first home win in franchise history.

Adrian Kempe put Seattle on the board in the second period, and added another early in the third to give the Spartans their first lead of the evening.

Patrick Kane tied the game with just over a minute left, leaving Jenner to be the hero.

Hawks rookie Dylan Sikura opened the scoring in the first with the first goal of his career.

Seattle heads right back out on the road to face Dallas (3-1-0) on Thursday.

Spartans blown out in Dallas

SEA 0-1-0-1 SOG 27 (2-3-0)
DAL 1-4-0-5 SOG 25 (4-1-0)

Shaky goaltending and a lackluster effort offensively had the Spartans out of this one before it even started.

Darren Helm scored the only goal for Seattle, as they dropped back below .500.

Tyler Seguin (2-1-3), Jamie Benn (1-2-3), and Valeri Nichuskin (2), scored for Dallas.

Cup finalists winless

Checking in around the league, both the Caps (0-6-0) and Golden Knights (0-5-0) have started the season without a victory. This is a major surprise for two teams that were expected to contend again this season.

The Caps main problem early this season has been keeping the puck out of their own net. If they're looking for an upgrade on D or in the backup goaltending role, Seattle could line up well as a potential trade partner.

Spartans won't make "panic trade"

With only ten goals in their first five games (Three in three losses), Spartans GM George Parros nixed talk of any potential panic trades this morning.

While the team is known to be looking to upgrade up front, Parros said that the team was focused on improving the consistency of their current roster, as opposed to moving out any key players this early in the season.

With a slow start, and multiple pending UFA's at the end of this season, the team will need to right the ship quickly, or risk a mid season fire sale.

"We have plenty of young assets and future draft picks. We like the core that we have, and are focused on extending our key guys. While the conversations that we've had with other executives around the league have been very positive, the asking price on guys that we're interested is higher than what we're willing to pay. We're not going to panic trade to try and improve short term, when the goal is long term sustainability here."

Jarred Spurgeon, Brendan Dillon, Semyon Varlamov are just a few of the 10 pending UFA's that Seattle currently has.

Re: Seattle Spartans (NHL 19)

Seattle are off to a good start. Good work keep going.

Are you seeing odd simulation results. I see Washington were 1-9-0?

In my franchise, Nashville were struggling big time but have just started to lift & Vegas are sitting in the cellar lol
