Craig Berube to take over the helm and the Blues never looked back, soaring from nearly last in the division to a tie for the 2nd best record in the Western Conference.
The Blues will match up against the Winnipeg Jets in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Jets finished ahead of the Blues, despite having the same amount of points and more regulation losses than the Blues, going 49-28-5.
